Synopsis
New York attorney Stone Barrington is somewhat surprised that his estranged cousin Dick, a recently promoted CIA Deputy Director, has named Stone executor of his will and plans to leave him a summer house in Dark Harbor, Maine. But he's downright shocked when the next day, he learns that Dick and his family are dead, shot in what the police believe was a murder-suicide orchestrated by Dick. Stone refuses to buy the official story; unfortunately, his determination to discover the truth endangers both him and those he cares about. This is the 12th book in a popular series.
