Synopsis
A deeply troubled ex-cop fights personal demons and hunts down a killer in this suspenseful work by the author of the Ben Kincaid legal thrillers. Alcoholism costs Lieutenant Susan Pulaski her job at the Las Vegas Police Department and custody of her niece Rachel. But when a serial killer begins preying on young girls and leaving bizarre notes with their mutilated corpses, Susan manages to get herself reinstated, as her expertise as a profiler makes her best suited to pursue the case. She is aided by the police chief's autistic son, whose unusual perceptions give him a unique insight into the killer's cryptic messages.
