Dark Desire by Christine Feehan (2006, Paperback)

This book has it all...Sexy vampiers, adventure, romance, and a wonderful sense of history. I can honestly recommend this book...and the entire Dark series!

I read the first book Dark Prince, and I hated it. My friend told me about Dark Desire, and said it was not worded like Dark Prince. So far it is a really good book.

Christine Feehan is the rightful sucessor to Ann Rice's throne as queen of the vampire tale. Her carpathians can best be described as sexy vampires, and the characters all come to life. If you read one of her Dark series books, you are going to have to read them all. Each one is a "can't put it down" kind of book, and Dark Desire is no exception.

Great read. A great 2nd book in the series. The author just keeps getting better! All of her series are very unique and require reading with an open mind.

I bought this book because I follow the Dark series by Christine Feehan. Since the hcaracters are related, it is kind of important to read the series in order if you can and to read all of them if you can. I never had Dark Desire which is the 2nd in the series so I wanted to read it and find out where it was in the series. I didn't read this in order and that is why I say if you can, then do so. The book was different but tied in with the first book in a good way. It introduced an important character referred to in other books, especially Dark Celebration. The first book, Dark Prince introduces Mikhail Dubrinsky, prince of the Carpathian people, a different race as old as time. Jacease, the main character in Dark Desire is Mikhail's brother, who was willing to sacrifice his life for Mikhail's lifemate in the first book. This story is is how Jacease found his lifemate and how she saved his soul and sanity.

I purchased this book because I am a fan of Christine Freehan;partically her Dark Series. This book is the second in the series and she manages to keep you ethralled with the Caparthian people.She always puts a bit of their history in each book.I love that it isn't just a romance book, the characters face challanges that could cost them their lives. I would recommend this book for those who want more than just a romance novel.
