Description
SNK Playmore�s hit fighting series KING OF FIGHTERS returns with its 2006 entry. The PS2 game KING OF FIGHTERS 2006 includes the same great fighting action as previous games but adds a few new twists, some new characters, and many new fighting moves. The game follows the series trend of presenting the battles and characters in full 3D while still playing like a KING OF FIGHTERS game. Many of fans favorite characters are back, including Billy Kane, who appears in 3D for the first time. Kula Diamond is also back, sporting some new outfits and new moves of her own. There are also some new additions to the cast of characters, including Luise Meyrink and the ninja-like Nagase. Like most fighting games, KING OF FIGHTERS 2006 includes story mode, arcade mode, mission mode, and multiplayer mode. The storyline of KING OF FIGHTERS 2006, while unique for each character, mainly revolves around the new terror organization that has formed in Southtown following the defeat of Mephistopheles. Players will find themselves on both sides of the conflict or on neither side as they play through story mode and follow the adventures of each character. Fighting games do seem to be a dime a dozen at times, but few of them have the following or the staying power of the KING OF FIGHTERS series. KING OF FIGHTERS 2006 guarantees more than just fighting; the storyline continues the adventures of a cast of characters that players have come to know and like.
