Darby O'Gill and the Little People (DVD, 2004)

Right around St. Patrick's Day, my husband looked for Darby O'Gill on TV. It's become his own tradition to watch it each year. Unfortunately, it was nowhere to be found. He didn't think that there was any way to find the movie in a video store, and figured that it was obsolete. I thought to myself, Ah, I'll find it for him on eBay! I looked for it, and there it was, in DVD no less! And at an excellent price, only $8.50. I placed an order, and it took several weeks to arrive. I wasn't happy with the length of time it took, but once it arrived, I was very satisfied with the packaging and the quality of the video. My husband was surprised that I was able to find it, and watched it that night (and numerous times since). The quality is perfect, and though the movie itself is not really my type of viewing, I do have a happy husband!

Perfect movie for the holiday! I don't like spending my time typing reviews or reading how many characters I must use for a review.

I love this movie my mom used to rent it for me to watch when I was little, and my brother who is in the navy actually wanted this for his collection. It's a great movie about Leprechauns it even has a banshee so it can be a little scary for little kids if they don't understand what is going on. It would be a great movie to add to anyones collection. It has Sean Connery a young version of him, and he sings a great song in this movie. :o)

I've watched this as a little girl,and bought it so my children could enjoy,too..Even without all the cinematics/graphics we have today,they love it also..Sean Connerry at that age is a bonus :D

this movie is so 1950's it's hillarious. the special effects are actually decent for their time and the leperchauns are awesome! they're your sterotypical leperchauns that do jigs all the time. the girl who plays katie looks like shes blind, she's always like staring out in the middle of nowhere which makes you giggle from time to time. this movie is definately entertaining...buying it used would be best, because i think $16+ is a little much for this movie but definately worth the purchase. enjoy :D

I have special memories of this movie from my childhood. I've not watched it yet, but, I received it in a timely manner and it arrived in excellent condition.

Great bit of nostalgic cinema from childhood. Wanted to have this one around for when the new baby gets a bit older. And it is pretty entertaining to watch Sean Connery as a baby-faced, singing, young man and not the distinguished older gentleman he is now. Despite the dated special effects, I believe this is a family movie that could retain its appeal indefinitely.

If you like old movies this is great for the family ecspecially for the kids. It is not violent, it's cutie, and keeps you entertained. You know it is good when the kids ask to watch it again.

I remembered watching it as a child and wanted to see it again. I really had fun watching it, even my grandchildren loved it.

I bought it as a gift for an Irish gentleman who has loved this movie for years. He was very pleased with my gift and I am pleased with my purchase.

Finally found a childhood memory and it arrived at my home quickly and without any problems what so ever. Seller reacted quickly to order and I was pleased.

I first viewed this movie in 1959, when it was first released. I was 10 years old at the time. I watched it again today, when I received it in the mail. It's still great !

EXCELLANT MOVIE HEART WARMING WANTED FOR MY LIBRARY WATCHED IT AS A KID AND WAS TOTALLY PLEASED WITH IT

This is a classic. Our family watches every year on St Patricks day. We upgraded to a dvd for more clarity. We gave the vhs to a neighbor who used to borrow it.
It is about an elderly gentlemen who encounter little people. But, because he is a drunk they don't believe him. He gets to go to their hovel and gets to know them. It is a delight for the entire family.

I have not seen this movie in years. I enjoy it as much now as I did the first time I saw it. It is a great addition for anyone that has a Disney library of movies.

this was a great movie. it has always been a favorite of mine and it is awsome to see sean connery so young.

I remeber seeing this on Disneys' Sunday night tv program when I was just a wee lad. Good family entertainment, excellent special effects for the day in which it was filmed. Still makes shivers run down my spine when the Banshee appears to take Katie away.

Classic, I have watched it on the Disney channel for years for St. Patricks day. I have started building my own collection of favorites, and this was a must to add to my holiday collection. It is a good clean family movie rich with tradition and fantasy. It mixes humor with suspense. keep an eye out for those little people!

This movie was a delight to watch. Once again my 5 year old daughter loved this movie!! It's a great family movie. Would recommend to any one with kids. I loved watching this movie when I was little but I don't remember Sean Connery looking this good when I was 9 years old!!!!!!

This is a genuinely classy movie from a time when classy movies were still cool.
They don't make movies like this any more.
Kid friendly, moral, and cute.

It was a pleasant surprise for my wife's birthday. It' one of her favorite movies. It was a new DVD and enjoyed by the whole family.
