Danse Macabre by Faint (The) (CD, Aug-2001, Saddle Creek Records)

I had heard the song "Total Job" from one of my friends a while back and liked it so much that I bought The Faint's cd Danse Macabre. In general, I was not disappointed, although "Total Job" was and remains my absolute favorite song on the cd. Most of the songs are quick-paced with a techno/industrial feel, and a couple songs carry a definite 80's vibe. The biggest exception would probably be "Paralyzed", the slowest and probably most depressing song of the bunch (sounds great though). I haven't heard anything else by The Faint yet, so I can't really do an album comparison. Regardless, I liked this cd very much and would recommend it to anyone who likes pulsing rhythm and varied sound, or anyone who shares my general widespread taste in music.
