Principally recorded at Record One Studios & Larrabee Studios, Los Angeles, California. Originally released on Epic/Sony (45400). Digitally remastered by Bernie Grundman (Bernie Grundman Mastering, Los Angeles, California). After a lengthy gap of nearly five years, Jackson had to pull something out of the bag. BAD was, after all, a difficult act to follow, and the press were trying to prove he was bonkers. This was a pretty decent attempt and fell in with the hard dance beat of the early 90s. "Heal The World" was much like the old melodic Jackson, and it became a major hit. "Black Or White" was the best of the rest, a well-constructed song in which he attempted to repeat "Ebony And Ivory" in the context of 90s dance music. Reviews Review created: 06/06/08 by: I had the CD and lost it so I figured I could get one on Ebay quickly and it might not cost as much as in a store. I received my CD in a timely manner and I enjoyed listening to it. Review ID: 10000000007449726 Was this review helpful? Report this review Review created: 02/28/08 by: There's nothing cutesy about this album (except for the intro to "Black or White" which is totally like something Michael would do). It is fun to see different sides of Michael. A few of the songs are about girls that did him wrong...he treats that theme uniquely and wonderfully. There are also heartwarming tracks like "Heal the World" and "Gone Too Soon". It is sexy and fast, but it gets slow at times; therefore, I feel there is a nice balance to the piece as a whole. I highly recommend this album to anyone. The special edition verson is cool too, but no Quincy Jones or Rod Temperton interviews in Dangerous Special Edition. Not as good songs to walk to thought. Love it and it was speedily delivered too. Review ID: 10000000005805641 Was this review helpful? Report this review Review created: 09/02/06 by: i liked the price of the item, i loved the simplcity of the process, and the thing i disliked (i guess) is the time it took for the item to be delivered. i decided to buy it because the price was cheap and payment was easy and i didnt have to go to a store to get it (which could be a downfall if i wanted the item the same day). But for this item, i didnt really care just as long its shipped to me, lol. Review ID: 10000000001708451 Was this review helpful? Report this review |
