Dangerous Minds (DVD, 1999)

This movie was a really good movie.

It can show just what a school teacher has to go through. LouAnne Johnson (Michelle Pfeiffer) plays a school teacher in an inner city school. She faces touch challenges with very tough kids. Most are from poor broken homes and are in gangs. She tries to teach them basic education without getting plowed over by these rough individuals.

Its really a great movie.

I would recommend it for young adults and older.

Before the end of the school term, I purchased the film Dangerous Minds (for me)in an effort to stay focused on what really matters in teaching--the students. Yet, the film, starring Michelle Pfeiffer as LouAnne Johnson, a former U.S. Marine, spoke volumes to my students as well. Dangerous Minds, based on Ms. Johnson's My Posse Don't Do Homework, provided a real story replete with students in which my classes could identify. Being able to find movies, books, and other materials on Ebay has enhanced my teaching and helped me to reach a growing majority of students who are visual learners. I highly recommend this film to anyone who would like to learn more about the realities of what occurs in many high schools across the nation. If anything seemed to be missing it is the rampant use of drugs that we, as teachers, see too often in our own schools, rural and urban.

Item was received in perfect condition. This item was new. I like the dvd and bought it for my son. Have looked in the store but could not find one. Bought it off ebay.

Love Michelle Phiffer and had to do a project for school. Went to Blockbuster they didn't have movie. So EBAY was the solution. Good deal, good price, smooth operation.

This movie has a great and real story even though the gangsters played in this movie arent that great as far as looks to me they do act the part very well.

I just receive the dvd 2 days ago i have seen it atlease 6 time this is a great movie that i bein looking for a long time , it a movie that reminds me of when i was growing up it all classic

This is a great movie!!! It really puts into perspective how hard it is to be not only a teenager in todays world, but also how hard it is to be a teacher. The actors really do a wonderful job at bringing this across to the audience. I think it's definately worth watching!!!

I had to buy this for an educational class project. The cd came very quickly in perfect shape. I enjoyed the movie and will purchase again through this web site.
