Synopsis In this undersea thriller, clashing tempers make for tense and hazardous moments aboard an about-to-be-decommissioned submarine on a final covert assignment. Commander Lowell Hardy is not pleased when he's ordered to take the "Memphis" on a mission to determine if the Russians have been improperly disposing of nuclear wastes. He's even less pleased at the additions to his previously all-male crew: two female engineers from the President's Advisory Science Board, and Lieutenant Jerry Mitchell, a former pilot who used his senator uncle's influence to transition himself into submarine training. But these differences must be put aside when the "Memphis" makes a dangerous discovery.
