Danger Mouse - The Complete Seasons 3 & 4 (DVD, 2005)

The Danger Mouse Complete Seasons 3 & 4 is without a doubt a fantastic buy for the fan of this magnificent British mouse. This DVD set along with Danger Mouse The Complete Seasons 1 & 2 and Danger Mouse The Complete Seasons 5 & 6 should be looked at by everyone in the industry who release animated series. We as animation lovers like to see a complete season instead of a couple of episodes at a time. Why tease us with a smidgeon of a show we haven't seen in years. You not only get 1 but 2 full seasons of this early 80's series by Thames. I really enjoyed the DVD's and also acquired Seasons 1 & 2. I will complete my Danger Mouse collection by picking up Seasons 5 & 6 very soon. The price is also very reasonable. Danger Mouse, Penfold, Colonel K and his arch rival The Baron Silas Greenback make this James Bond type cartoon a very interesting and funny series. If you enjoy British humor you will really like this. The art work alone (especially the backgrounds) are very different than the animation of the time. Perspective backgrounds that are basic yet beautiful fill the screen while our hero fights his way out of the Baron's traps. Penfold brings his British humor into the series with his pateneted "Oh Crackers" comment whenever something goes wrong. Each story is usually divided into 5 episodes which always end when Danger Mouse is in a seemingly impossible situation. You will not go wrong when picking up Danger Mouse. Our hero with the eye patch always saves the day and keeps you coming back for more. Thanks,

Season 3 and 4 of Dangermouse is a continuation of where the first seasons left off. Our hero DM and his sidekick Penfold are constantly in pursuit of Baron Greenback and his fellow Evil doers. There are new villians introduced to bring some diversity into storyline. All episodes are well written and keeps moving at a pace most children can keep up with and subtle jokes that are appealing to the kid in all of us.. I bought it because as a child I watched Danger Mouse every day asnd wanted my children to experience a glimpse into my childhood.. so we purchased season 1 & 2.. they loved it, Season 3 & 4 was a no-brainer.. and Season 5 & 6 will be in their stockings..

For those who remember the series on Nickelodeon, you will enjoy this set. The good parts of it are the silly situations that come up while Baron Greenback tries to take over the world and Dangermouse stops him. The narrator always adds the wry charm but not as much in other seasons. Another amusing part is the return of Count Duckula and his hopeless quest to be an actor.
The bad part if there is one is the serial format of the stories. The chapers are told in five 5 minute parts. Since each part follows the earlier one the recaps can be a bit tedious. This though is probablly done because it's from the BBC showings and not the U. S. version.
This is a fun series that is safe for kids and good memories for the '80s group. Enjoy

I really am not much into this cartoon, especially at the beginning, but it grows on you once you start watching.

How could you not like this? I remember watching this stuff when I was a teen in the 80's and I loved it then. I thought that my children would like it, so I ordered it. Complete success. One 7 and one 3 and they both thought it was hilarious!
