I remember seeing this movie in the Theatre years ago when it first came out.
Great movie about how the White man and the Native American's clashed. Yet the interesting thing is how LT. Dunbar took the time to get to know the Natives and befriended them.
This movie is still an excellent watch. I enjoy seeing it now and then.
The DVD version is great with a few extra scenes.

I've watched this movie at least 8 times and it remains in my top 10 all time favorite movies. The visuals are fantastic. The acting is exceptional. The compassion and honesty never waivers. Finally the Human Beings are the good guys, and indeed that was the case. They were not the invaders, they were here first.

Dances With WolvesLove the movie. Have watched it on Cable many times and wanted it for my home DVD collection. I don't normally watch a lot of Western movies, but I found this one really enjoyable, especially the bonding relationships with the Native American Indians and I always enjoy a beautiful love story. Would highly recommend to all.

Dances with WolvesMy favorite movie on so many levels. It shows the true nature and beauty of the native American way of life. The acting, writing, music and scenery are a gift. The way in which they shot the buffalo hunt was amazing. A movie to watch again and again.

This was an ok move it would be what I consider a typical western but if you are big on those moves that would be a good move to get. The move dose takes a rather long time to watch but if you are into westerns it will not be a problem. As you can see by my rating i think that it is worth watching but it is not one that i feel that i will watch many times over again.

This movie is one of the best movies ever made. The notion of a man finding his true (inner) self & the depecition of American Indians is outstanding. This is one of this decades finest films giving tribute to Native Americans lives not as a cliche, but as a true down to earth family unit. Anyone who loves films should have a copy or have seen it no matter if VHS, dvd or ETC..

Through the 90's seemed the "pay homage to the indians" decade. Some movies did it right, this is one of them. This is a fantasy of mine, to hang with the indians and be excepted as one. The philosophy of the Lakota is such a harmonious and beautiful one, this movie captured that spirit. Every year, I need to watch this movie. The music to it is superb! This movie celebrates a true path in life but is not without its conflict and its bad seeds.
