I was living in Iceland when this movie came out and it was the 'must see', and being a Bjork fan of course I was going to see it!
I wasn't prepared. I hadn't listened to the storyline-as I never do. I'll find out what the movie is like when I watch it for myself. I'm not going to divulge the storyline here either, other than it's about a mother's love which surpasses anything and everything, sacrificing her own life for that of her son's well-being.
I can honestly say that I have never cried so deeply and I'd never seen so many other people crying just the same as I was. My heart actually hurt!
Dancer In The Dark is a very dramatic, yet fun at times, musical that will stay with you long after you've left the theatre.
