Dance Me Outside (DVD, 2008)

Good movie, funny and moving. Gives the viewer the perspective from the Amerindians worldview. The female charactors in the film come to the rescue as it were in an unexpected way.

Like/Love: Everything! A Story that is a reality. Drama, Anger, Humor, Love, ect. Disliked nothing, well could have been a longer movie! Why did you decide to buy it?: Good Memories!

This was one of my "top" movies from the first time I saw it, I've waited for YEARS for it to come out on DVD. I've seen this listed as a comedy on some reviews elsewhere, and drama in other places. This is what I'd call a 'gritty' movie. It does have some funny moments, and is also dramatic. I won't relay the plot here--you can find that elsewhere, but I will say that if you want a small piece of reality, watch this movie. It's not one of those 'warm and fuzzy' movies that you'd see promoted at some huge cinema--it doesn't 'fit' their bill. But this is one of those movies that many of us have listed in our Top Ten for years. It's definitely worth your time to watch.

Portrays life on a Native American reservation. The characters are typical of the people living there and the events they encounter.

I recieved the DVD and it wasnt working correctly, I notified redtag and sent it back. I got the new one very quickly and enjoyed the no hassle exchange. I will most likely buy more title from them.

Great movie. I was very impressed with this movie the first time I seen it years ago. I watched this movie several times since I received it in the mail. I am so glad and lucky that this movie is now on DVD. I wish more movies like this were available in the US more frequently. Adam Beach is a great native american actor and to see some of his early work, is great. I enjoyed this movie, just about as much as I did the Tony Hillerman books that were made into movies.

Several years ago I owned a copy of this film "Dance Me Outside" on VHS. Since that time, not only was my copy misplaced but it went out of print. Currently a new VHS copy of this film is running nearly $80 on Ebay. When I discovered that it was being released on DVD I found this one as an advance order and bought it for approximately $11. It is brand new, in perfect condition. I couldn't be happier.
