The 2007 edition of "Dance Dance Revolution Universe" for Microsoft's Xbox360 takes a big step upwards and onwards in dance-dance evolution with lots more rockin' tunes, higher-definition graphics, and plenty of all-new game modes.

But the DDR Universe is not perfect: Background graphics are still cheesy -- which might be OK if they were not so distracting -- and it is not yet possible to add your own music.

This is a great "game" for the whole family. Ok, so maybe the husbands around the world won't use it but everyone else will! It's great exercise for me and the kids like to compete with one another on who's the better dancer. You can use multiple dance mats (only one comes with the bundle) so more than one person can dance at the same time. My daughter has motor-planning issues, so the Lessons portion is a good way for her to practice before moving on to the dances. So if you'd like to see your kids get some exercise as they're watching tv and you want to practice your dance moves in the privacy of your own home, this is for your family.

I owned DDR Universe 2 first. I was hoping this game would not be much different, as I liked DDRU2. Well, it's almost the same. I thought the workout mode that counts the calories you burn while playing was new in #2, nope, it wasn't. The voiceover person says almost exactly the same things, except in this game it's a girl. In DDRU2, it's a guy.

The quest mode is different.

The most important thing is, however, that there are over 70+ unique songs in this version that are not in DDRU2. And I believe DDRU3 also is all new songs. You can also use the dance mat from any of the XBOX 360 versions with any game in this currently 3 part series.

Fun game, good exercise. It'll keep track of those burned calories over time.

It's hard to learn at first, but trust me, if you have any rhythm, you'll eventually get good at this game.

Highly interactive game with a wide variety of music--ranging from pure techno and club to hip-hop and classic remixes. The in-game tutorial is excellent for teaching anyone that is new to this game series.

Do not expect to learn how to "dance" in any form--this game is designed to challenge your eye-to-feet response, personal agility, and balance. The DDR series is great for burning calories (especially if you are holding additional weights, dumbells, or a curl bar while playing) and for having fun with friends. You can connect up to 3 or 4 dance mats on a single console for a great time with several competitors.

The in-game calorie counting mechanism does not appear to be incredibly accurate or useful, but the idea of having that type of logic built into the game is a nice concept. You can quickly work up a sweat while playing DDR and continue to increase the difficulty level as you improve your dance steps to each song.

In short, I highly recommend the DDR series of video games--it creates a fun atmosphere to enjoy by yourself or with several others, while working off any fast-food visits that you might have made that day ;) Enjoy!

I bought the DDR as a Christmas present for my kids. They love it and I am pleased with it because it is a physical interactive game. It allows them to enjoy the features of a game while getting a good physical workout. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a fun way to workout.

My kids love this game. Its great exersice and they will play for hours. Just make sure to get the strong heavy duty mats or you will go threw them like water. All the daning on them weres the inexpenssive one out after about 10 hrs. The game itself is allot of fun.

Bought this for when grandkids come visit. They all seem to love it.... some of the parents do too!! Very entertaining!!!

is a game that I been wanting to get for the fun and the music that contains. I have play other games with similar music but this one takes it all.

So ya this game rocks! you've seen it all over but now is your chance to play it at home. I like the fact that I'm saving so much money cause I'm not at the arcade dumping quarters all day long.

It's fast but fun game. My kids love to play it. It has some good music. I bought it becouse I wanted something that was active for the xbox.

my daughter loves this game, it keeps her entertained for hours. me on the other hand, am too old and this really can wear an old man down.

This is my first DDR game. It was bought for my daughter who is 6. She absolutely loves this game. It has an easy setting that she can play with ease. My wife likes it too on the harder setting because it allows her to get some exercise. If you have lots of energy or if you have a young child that likes to dance then you need this game.

WELL I BOUGHT THE DANCE MAT FOR MY DAUGHTER AND I KEPT SEEING THE VIDEOS THAT WENT WITH THE DANCE MAT,THEY ALL WERE SAYING FOR PLAYSTATION AND XBOX,WELL I RAN ACROSS THE DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION,I THOUGHT IT WAS FOR PLAYSTATION 2 BUT AFTER I BID ON IT AND WON IT THATS WHEN I NOTICED IT WAS ONLY FOR XBOX,I JUMPED THE GUN TO QUICKLY AND DIDNT READ THE ITEM DISCRIPTION GOOD ENOUGH,BUT I HAVE NOW REALIZED THAT I HAVE TO LOOK CAREFULLY,LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING,BUT I FOUND WON THAT IS FOR PLAYSTATION AND MY DAUGHTER IS HAPPY AND HAS FUN ON IT.SO IF IT LOOKS LIKE THE SAME,DOESNT MEAN IT IS THE SAME,ALWAYS READ EVERYTHING ABOUT AN ITEM YOU WANT TO BID ON BEFORE BIDDING..THEN YOU DONT MAKE THOSE KINDS OF MISTAKES....

Dance Dance Revolution is great for that person that enjoys dance and rhythm. Understand I bought this for my daughter not so much for the exercise but for the eye focus coordination. Since using it in a form she enjoys she is beginning to excel.

Some will say that this type of game has lost its edge and is now a dying fad...I still enjoy it and have introduced these types of games to my work out routine..fun, entertaining, and challenging and you will burn calories.

Like the title says, It's a fun game if you know what you are buying. The interface in the entire game takes some getting used to. And the "story" mode, if that's what you want to call it, is a little sketchy at times with it's unclear objectives. About the songs: There's a nice collection, not too techno heavy but there are only a few songs that people will know. But since you can find the game for a cheap price (for me it was 99 cents + 2/3 dollar shipping) it's a good find. Mine was shipped and received in a little over 48 hours :) So, if you have half-a-brain or are a fan of the series, I'd say keep an eye out for this game. 4/5

Out of all the dance revolution games, DDR UNIVERSE is the best one out of all. I would have to say MOST of the songs are great, the difficulty is set in different parts, beginner, basic, difficult , expert( if ur a pro). I decided to buy this game because I bought DDR UNIVERSE 3, that game was horribly made, and I saw the reviews on DDR UNIVERSE, now I know why it got 8.5/10 because its a great game to play overall my score would be a 8.0/10, if you love dancing games, DDR UNIVERSE is the choice for you!
