Dance Dance Revolution SuperNOVA (PlayStation 2, 2006)

It's really a great game, it makes you sweat and burn calories but it's a lot of fun! The soundtrack is amazing, very good graphics and the pad it top quality. That's the first DDR that I bought and I am looking forward to buy the other titles too. Way to go!

I am 50+ years old and never thought I would buy a video game, but heard from a friend how much fun this was. I took the plunge and have had a great time with it. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys laughing at themselves and others. The benefit is you also get some very good exercise. Best practice is to buy 2 dance pads so you can enjoy with a friend, this is much more fun.

I odered the DDR Supernova game because my son had the DDR game. I got tired of sitting by and watching my kids have fun with it. I love the fact that it is exercise in a fun formula that you don't even know its exercise.

I played DDR in college and I had the DDR Mario Mix for Gamecube. One day I started searching for different types of DDR because I was getting bored with the Mario Mix, and stumbled upon Supernova. I absolutely love it. I get a GREAT workout from it, because I always play in workout mode. I feel as if it gives you a great variety of music (although I do wish there were more songs) and I love seeing the progress I've made in workout mode. The only thing I dislike is that I wish there was some way I could create a "playlist" for workout mode, so I can work out to the songs that I like. It would be nice if I could choose the songs that I like to work out to, and it could randomize them each time I play. Other than that, I enjoy the game and would recommend it to anyone, whether they are a novice or an expert at DDR.

Positives: open to all ages, encourages activity and cooperation

Negatives: pricey (like all new Wii games) and more pricey if you need more than the included pad, need a lot of space for multiplayer options

Although the family just opened the box this morning, it's already a sure favorite that will be worth every penny. The game provides challenges for all levels of dancers--from adults to the young teens to the elementary school child to the 5 year old. Please note that family members are not listed in order of skill level because I'm still not sure how a fast-footed Kindergartner achieved an "A" on an expert level song...

The included gamepad stays in place much better than the Nintendo gamepad that was made for DDR: Mario Party Mix, but if you have one of those, they work fine with the game if you can tolerate their tendency to migrate. However, you will need a lot of room in the living room if you plan to hook up more than one pad. In fact, I don't know if you can logistically arrange 4 pads without extension cords because the hand motions can get wild and potentially dangerous.

The rewards are nicely paced, and you can get new songs even for mediocre dancing. We haven't tried the work-out mode but suspect it will be useful for sluggish adults when that exercise bike routine seems too bland. While the only other DDR we've purchased was Gamecube's Mario Mix, the Wii: Hottest Party's hand motions add a nice depth to the game.

It's the type of game that has appeal to the solo player and the group setting. Parents will like that their kids actually get up and move while playing video games. And the friendship mode helps foster teamwork and cooperation between siblings instead of the competition emphasized by a lot of games. (Okay, okay, the real appeal of friendship mode is that one of the kids can help a clumsy parent through a tough song...)

This game has many well-known songs and artists such as, "Shout," "Video Killed the Radio Star," Kelly Clarkson, and others. The challenge area is fun and gets hard after beating a few areas. I do wish they allowed us to choose the dance like in previous versions, but that's the biggest downfall. Everything else is great.

I could not get it to work because I do not own a memory card. I wished I would have known it when I bought it, I bought it for my my daughter and she can't play it. I wish I would have known about the memory card.

I decided to buy this for my daughter because (quite honestly) there are not alot of games for girls! She is 13 and loves to sing and dance...so this seemed like a great game for her. She and her brother play it, but not as much as I thought they would! The game is very easy to set up and is fun to play. It does take up alot of space and the dance pads are somewhat flimsy but are overall tough. My kids have gotten agrevated a few times because the pad sometimes doesn't recognize a step. Also (for you parents out there) this game will keep your kids occupied, but be prepared for alot of noise....the stmping can get a bit noisey at times. Overall it's a great game and is built to last, it does have some drawbacks, but buying it has more benefits than downfalls!!

A good game for anyone. I highly recommend this game for anyone looking for a good time and family fun or just for general excersise of the mind or the body. The product is great!

This game is a great workout for all ages, although at my age (40), I find it tough to keep up with the arrows on the screen and following them to my feet. My kids who range from the age of 6 through 15 love to dance DDR. They have so much fun that they don't even know they are working out. This game has a workout mode also if you want to track how many calories you are burning while dancing also. If you can't afford a membership to the gym, buy any DDR and get dancing!! You will love it!

The two dance pads and dance dance revolution for Playstation 2 cd that i purchased were as described -- brand new and works perfectly well. I am a satisfied and happy buyer.

I've been playing ddr since the first cd version till now, my friends and I find it too fun and really helping us in shape too. This is the only game that I usually play on ps2 maybe if they have it for psp that will be much cool..lol

This games include hundreds of songs to choose from but the songs provided aren't ones that make you bored within a couple of plays. It does suck that you can't plug in your own music. All the graphics in this game are amazing and beyond 3D.

My kids love it! Dance pad is well made and the game graphics are very good, unlike others. I purchased it for my kids it was the first one they asked for. I have not heard one negative comment about this product from the kids!

It has some great tunes! Even the easy mode gets me sweating! The kids really like it although some of the dancers are dressed quite skimpy.

This is the best game I have seen in quite a while. The kids are up off of their butts jumping and moving around having a GREAT time. All the while working up a sweat and burning calories. It is an exorcise program disguised as a game.

What I love most about it, is the how much my 9 year old daughter loves it!!!
We both enjoy playing and competing against each other. But of course, she always wins.......

This game is very exiciting and interactive. I originally got it for my daughterfor christmas because she had been mentionening that she wanted it. My daughter uses it all the time as a workout. Thanks to this she has lost weight and is more confident about her self image. I would rate this product higher than anyother product. The background for most of the songs are the actual music videos. There is a wide variety of songs to chose from and you can chose your level of diffuculty. All in all this product is one i would recommend to everyone.

I have recently became a DDR fan and this is one of the greatest collections of songs and greatest workouts out there for video game players. The music is great, the game play easy, and it's just all-around fun. I'm very happy with this product.

This is my first experience with DDR, and I like the whole idea of DDR, for fun, for exercise, but very disappointed at the number of songs in the game...not enough and not enough ones that are recognizable songs that an average person would know and dance to!

We decided to purchase a video game that involved some physical activity also. Our whole family loves this game. It allows us to have as much exercise as we like with some fun attached to it.

We purchased it on ebay and saved about 30% from the retail price. The item received was brand new and the exact brand that is sold in stores.

We are very happy with our purchase and with the amount of time it took to purchase it and get it.

I like this game , because everyone has a good time dancing, and it's also great exercise! I know most of the songs . Some are from when I was younger, so I don't mind listening to it either! I bought it because my kids had played a version in an arcade, and came back panting and laughing. They had wanted it ever since.
