Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party (game & dance pad) (Wii, 2007)

Dance Dance Revolution, or DDR, Hottest Party for the Wii is incredible fun. It is also an awesome workout! :)

This combo package contains the DDR: Hottest Party game along with the gamepad that you need to play the game. The gamepad plugs into the gamecube ports on the top. DO not buy this game without the gamepad otherwise it will be useless to you!

The object of DDR is to dance along to the song and hit the appropriate pad arrow with your feet. It is a rhythm game that is based on remixes of popular songs. This version has songs from the past 40 years. As an added twist to other DDR games the Wii version has hand single that you have to swing either the remote or nunchuk in time with. So basically you have 4 arrows to hit and then the 2 hand singles also! :)

There are many different modes for the game.

Basic Training. Learn how to use the pad and hand gestures
Dancing. Dance to different songs
Work Out. My personal favorite. Dance and burn off those calories!

Each song has 4 difficulty levels also! This helps the replay value of the game! :)

You can pick from different "dancers" and the graphics are fun to watch. The songs are great and catchy. I found I was dancing away for an hour and a half before I realized how much time I had been on the game. I was covered in sweat and had a big grin! :)

This is a great game. It is set up for 1 person, but you can play up to 4 people on it.

If you loved the other DDR games, or just love rhythm games. This is by far one of the best games out there for the Wii right now!

If you are thinking of getting this game, do it! When you first try it,it seems hard. In a few minutes you catch on and the fun and exercise begins ! Crank up the volume and it's partytime. Have a water bottle handy and dress light, because this is a real workout. It doesn't feel like exercise, so don't shy away from trying it. Get some friends and family together and dance!I know that even in the summer, we will still be dancing. Also, on rainy days or winter, this will be a blast to pick up your mood! We are hooked and everyone who tries it at our house, bids on one the next day! Remember, it seems difficult at first, but as soon as you realize that the rising arrows and controller symbols must be right inside the marker arrrows on top.....you are cruising through songs in the beginners level. The graphics are exciting and so colorful. The dance venues change, the dancers are great and as you get better the game releases new songs. The song selections are great and if you are not familiar with the song, go for it anyway, it's even funnier ! We bought it on ebay from someone who said it was only used for ten minutes and didn't seem like something they would enjoy ! Wow! I know they didn't give this a chance. The game gives a grade after each song and although it's hard to get a "D" and hear "try again", it's a blast when the A's & B's start to happen and the new songs are the prize. Want a family game that doesn't involve sitting on the couch with a controller in hand, well get up, get this game and get fit. This is going to be fun after a big Thanksgiving dinner, at Birthday parties, bye, bye pin the tail on the donkey ! We are in our late fifties and love the newer music options as much as those that bring back the disco days of our younger years ! A Mother's Day visit from kids and grandkids alike, turned into a barrel of laughs as we all tried to get an "A". Dance Dance Revolution is the first video game we ever purchased and with the "Wii" console a focal point in our living room, we feel like. . . who needs the treadmill? Maybe we'll bid on a disco ball next! We may bid on an extra dance mat,but taking turns on one mat lets you catch your breath and laugh at the person dancing, so we are not in any hurry ! We laugh all the way through it! Believe me you and your family and friends will be hooked too ! It's the best ! If you have teens, this is great as a family activity ! ( one they won't feel is lame or boring!)We like the volume high!!! It really feels like a party when it's cranked up ! If you are thinking of getting this, I hope this helped you. I bought this thinking it would be a grea workout. But it is designed more for teens or children. Adults...don't buy for a good workout, it is corny.

I decided to buy DDR after seeing it on Ellen Degeneres' talk show. I had thought about it before, never seen one or played. I thought the premise was a great one, I love to get moving, and think the fact that the Wii and other platforms that are allowing this gamer-cize to evolve is great! When I saw it on the show I thought it looked very fun and challenging, so I bought it!

I was not disappointed! It can make you break a sweat and it's fun! It's very challenging so you don't bore easily with it.

The only con I have about it, is the fact that the music is all techno. While it's not a terrible con, it would be nice to be able to dance to the orignal tracks.

And by dance, I do mean flailing your arms and feet about in a chaotic way. Not something that you want most people to see you doing (in my case, at least! )

It a really funny game to play with the kids. It also has a fitness feature on it that keeps track of how many calories you are burning.

Awesome game!!! We can't put it down!! A little hard at first but it gets better and better. I love the work out option in the game. Highly recommended

The item was good but shipped cheaper than agreed upon. It arrived 2-3 weeks later instead of 2-3 days. Charge it to novice seller experience, but I would not buy from this person again.

I purchased this for my 4 grandchildren, 2 girls, 2 boys. They love to dance and so do their friends. They range in age 5 to 12. There is so much giggling, & dancing in the house. They are just having fun and moving!!!!! I have even tried it and actually came away breathless!!! It is a wonderful game, just wish every household could have one!!!

It's a lot harder than you think. It's not intuitive, you don't follow the dancers necessarily, but once you figure it out, it's fun to play against someone else.

It was fantastic. Bought it for a barbecue and great for kids and adults. Kids are better at it but adults laugh more. The service providing the game was good. I'd recommend it.

Its just another DDR game but with a little twist having to use the numchuk and the wiimote to move your hands in addition to your feet.

The music is a little bit of everything, oldies and newer too. Its fun to play by yourself or with a friend.

This game is the ideal party game for teenagers. It will keep them entertained for hours. The real upside to this product, is that teh child gets a workout and enjoys every moment of it. Thids should provide hours of pure enjoyment.

Another fun DDR dancing game. Some good new style songs from some decent cover bands. A few songs feel a bit butchered from the way the original artists did them, but at least it isn't lousy no name music. The pad stinks terribly when of the chlorine fumes when you get it so *take it outside/in the garage for 24h to get the stench out*.

If you are over the age of 10,you will not like this game.All you do is try to step on the squares as the arrows pass by on the screen.The dance animation or music has nothing to do with the game.I thought you followed the dance moves.It is boring.

I have a 17 yr son but we got Dance Dance for my wife for mothers day. She is early 50s,not sure if it going to be the right thing to get.She open it and has been playing it about 3 times a week now.Some times my son will play.Great gift for any age.

Well it's hard to give a review to a purshase that I have not recieved yet and it's been about a month and a half.Also when I spoke to the seller he promised a refund and it's been 2 weeks and not yet recieved that yet either.So far classified as a thief.Takes the money doesen't give you the product.

I was very excited to own the Wii version of DDR. I have the xbox version already (love IT).. But when I got it and played I was not as happy as I would have liked to have been. The songs are really not that great, and you only get to dance to a min or a little more of the song at a time in one segment. The announcer is very annoying. And when using the Wii controllers it's very hard to hit the notes on time... The GOOD you do have more obstructions. Great exercise. The levels are harder to play. When playing two player you can put obstructions in their way with your wii remote. Over all it is average not something I would buy again if mine broke.

THE GAME WAS BROKEN WHEN I GOT IT!! SHE REPLYED "IT MUST HAVE BEEN USER ERROR." AND THAT IT WORKED FINE FOR HER,YET SHE DIDN'T OFFER A RETURN POLICY. sOUNDS LIKE SHE HAD HER FUN AND COULD RETURN OPENED SOFTWARE AND DECIDED TO SELL IT ON EBAY.
