The Dana Owens Album by Queen Latifah (CD, Sep-2004, A&M Records USA)

I bought this CD because of its "California Dreamin'" track. I listened to all of it and I found more of them that I loved listening. They were so inspiring. I like knowning that there's more talents to a singer than rap which I never listen. I was able to see one more side to Queen Latifah who I've never known to be a rap singer. It was the genre that had an effect on how the singer performed rather than just her vocals. Oh, Baby! is also a good track worth listening

I was amazed the versatility of Dana,who started as a rapper.She has a beautiful voice and seems totally comfortable in many idioms.Soul,blues or Jazz.A great talent.

I LOVE this cd and I already had it. A friend of mine was visiting and heard the cd and loved it too. I ordered the cd for a Xmas gift. This is one of Queen Latifah's best!!!

As a middle aged music lover,I was aware of Queen Latifah's career as an actress but had never heard any of her music.Well after hearing about this album,particularly that this was a crossover effort,I decided to give it a listen.What a pleasant surprise... this gal can really sing. Her song selection coupled with the production team and musicians(including Arif Mardin and Herbie Hancock) are stellar.This record is a keeper.I truly enjoy it and its production is state of the art.If you have a good system,you will be amazed at its sound.A-

I thouroughly enjoy this cd. I like the instrumentals as well as the singing. It has kind of a jazzy feel with R&B or blues mixed with it. It is easy listening, soothing, feel good music. I decided to purchase this cd because I, first am a fan of Queen Latifah, and I had heard a few of the songs and really enjoyed them. If you are looking for something new and different, this is it!!

Great cd/ album to enjoy. Shows how talented Queen Latifah is. And it shows she is not just some rapper from NY. She can really sing along with being a successful recording artist, actress. She's a very talented young lady as you will see once you here this cd. Enjoy!!!

When a Queen Latifa album came up in my vocal jazz search I was very skeptical, but she has blown me away by her sultry jazz voice. I have loaned this cd to many who also have fallen in love with it. Queen Latifa has a new fan in me!

I like this cd so much because it shows a softer side of "Queen" don't get me wrong, I like some of her other stuff as well but I'm an older person, the music on this cd is more of my speed. I bought it because the songs are nice but they sound even better coming from Dana owens.

I absolutely love this CD and got it at a great price on e-bay!!! I will buy from this store again because my item came packaged well.
