Daft Punk - Interstella 5555 (DVD, 2003)

Honestly, this DVD pretty much changed the way I WATCH music. An extremely good soundtrack with excellent animation in the background. Or is it the other way around? Either way, if you're into Daft Punk or their genre of music, then this is definitely worth getting. The story is easy to follow, if if the lyrics (when the songs have lyrics) have very little to do with what's going on on-screen. Special features on the DVD are sort of boring. There's a karaoke mode, but it's really not worth trying to sing like daft punk. They're different.

this is a good product though it took a while to get through the mail. Ive enjoyed the product once I recieved it and the payment was no problem.

This is a very good DVD or music video to own for your collection. Anyone who knows Daft Punk and this album knows that these videos were put together like a movie. This was a collaboration with Leiji Matsumoto, the creator of Star Blazers. Whether your a music enthusiast or anime lover, this video will not let you down. From "One more time" to "Digital Love", this is an awesome DVD!

I really enjoyed Daft Punk's Interstella 5555. Any fan of Daft Punk or those familiar with their style, especially in their second album Discovery, should get a kick out of this DVD. It's basically a music video spanning the entire album of Discovery instead of lots of individual music videos. There is no dialogue or subtitles, only the brilliant Japanese animation and music of Daft Punk to push the story. Definitely worth renting for any interested, and a must-own for fans of Daft Punk or Discovery.

An awesome animated sci fi to daft Punk's Discovery. It plays the song in order! a great video. the bonus features are hard to use as the dont have titles but besides that i like everything about the DVD.

One, I am a fan of anime, two, I like techno. Put the two together, definite 10 out of 10. The brilliant animation of Leiji Matsumoto is breathtaking.

A friend of mine was trying to find this DVD for the longest of time, I was able to find this at the value he wanted, shipped it straight to him. He loved it and it worked great.

Daft Punk Interstella 5555 is a great movie for anyone who loves Daft Punk or house music. The entire movie keeps you watching and entertained. Great animation and full of Daft Punk Music. It was directed by one of the best Japenese Manga Authors and it shows in this movie. The only downside for some people is that there is absolutely no dialogue in the movie, but it is an interesting twist and the movie doesn't even need dialogue.

Definetely a must-have for any hardcore Daft Punk fan. Beautiful visuals set to the album Discovery by Daft punk with a surprisingly deep story line. Tons of extra features too. If you've enjoyed such musical Odysseys as Yellow Submarine and you appreciate house techno, you'll love this movie. Great buy!

I just love this DVD, having always been a big fan of Daft Punk, I have been actively seeking in in Aus for years now and finally got around to ordering it from the US.
What can I say - Discovery is such a fantastic album, but once you`ve seen Interstella, the album takes on a new direction in your mind, as each song brings up images of the anime.
My 3 girls love to watch it and are more into the Stella / Shep lovestory than (and I quote)`those losers in Twilight`.
Having grown up with Matsumoto`s animation, it`s like an hour or so of pure bliss for me to watch this and just chill out!! Enjoy....

This movie is excellent. The creators wrote it in such a way that dialogue in not needed. The plot is advanced through the lyrics of the music and the actions of the character. The music played is the entire Discovery album by Daft Punk. I LOVED IT... and i usually dont like anime.

This is a good dvd and it had good shipping time with a pretty decent price. Overall I would recommend this to any one that likes anime and dance music good storyline and great music.

One word: SWEETNESS!!! This DVD was awesome! I loved the animation and the music..... This is definitely worth owning.

LOVED this movie.... i got so many people in to anime by watching this movie ...it has no words only back to back hits off discovery ...witch to me makes the movie that much more heart felt ...both the movies ive seen of theres deal with the same subject wanting to be who you realy are and dealing with the world trying to slow you down...out of 10 the movies an 11

Daft Punk are revolutionary artists and if you like their music then this DVD is something you'll treasure. The great animation and addictive beats compliment each other beautifully.

Best damn Guitar music in the galaxy!!! Theres nothing you wont like about this dvd plus the old school animation fits right in with this intergalactic masterpiece.

First, I'm not a huge fan of Anime, except of few :) but well who wouldn't be fan of "Akira" or "Ghost in the Shell" after watching it. Whatever.
Second, Daft Punk is definetly one of those pushing electronic music forward. Their "Homework" did that. No ? Here's the rocks you can trow it at me.
After watching some of the film videos on MTV or whatever channel I decide to give it a try.
Well I don't miss with this one and I've found it a place on my short video shelf (less movies but better !!!) Since then I watch this about 5-6 times and it still rocks. So you don't have it ? Here on eBay you'll easely find it and see the cost is usual for that unusual thing. Buy and enjoy. It worth every your $.
