More great story line of old Korea and how a girl overcomes her personal tragedy to learn to become a great cook in the royal court. She always has "big trouble" near the end of every episode, so you just can't stop watching and must continue. This is a very inspiring story with great characters some you love and others you despise for their small mindedness and petty personalities. One can't help falling in love with Dae Janh Geum for her goodness and charm.

This volume continues the saga of our intrepid heroine, Jang Geum. If you have volume 1, you MUST have/get vol 2 - the story deepens, the characters should have become/ARE your old friends by now. Or your sworn enemies. We love some to bits, and loathe several others. Quite simply, you should be deeply addicted to this drama by now. The production values remain fabulous, the outdoor & location shoots are simply dazzling. We are utterly heartbroken by certain events in this volume, yet remain inspired by our plucky heroine's determined, & DIGNIFIED efforts to overcome them. The ONLY bad thing for me, about this volume, is that, halfway thru it, you realize the series is half over, & that you have fewer episodes in front of you than behind!!! You are'nt human if you don't cry in this one. You will also laugh & cheer. This is a special series, the best of the genre. Don't miss it. You won't regret it - it is a series you will watch more than once - likely with your friends & family, since you will need to rant about the evil Lady Choi & her dastardly brother...and that rotten neice....oooh they are wicked.
