Daddy Day Camp (DVD, 2008)

Playing the same characters that looked a lot like Eddie Murphy and Jeff Garlin in "Daddy Day Care," Cuba Gooding Jr. and a random overweight sidekick (Paul Rae) take over their childhood camp that's one more crappy summer away from being foreclosed by the bank. Instead of hustling to provide working bathrooms, the guys try to make sure that their sons have a good time

If the script for Daddy Day Camp was so bad that even Eddie Murphy passed on it, that really should have set alarm bells ringing. Evan Almighty has set the bar pretty low for sequels without their original star, but even by those standards, Daddy Day Camp is a complete waste of time.

The biggest problem is the acting: the child actors (especially Bridges) are a uniformly untalented bunch and none of their characters are especially likeable as a result. Similarly, if Daddy Day Care worked at all, it was because of Eddie Murphy's manic motor-mouthed energy, whereas Cuba Gooding Jr possesses none of Murphy's comedic ability – his comic repertoire basically consists of mugging and shouting, both of which wear thin very fast.

Daddy Day Camp is a badly written, badly acted mess that's quite possibly one of the most pointless sequels of all time, though it does at least tell you what to do in the event of getting sprayed by a skunk.

A great sequel to Daddy Day Care that has tons of fun moments and laughter. This is enjoyable for kids and adults alike! I watched it with my two young daughters (ages 8 and 5) and we had alot of fun with this movie! I'm glad to have this DVD in my collection.

If you saw the first movie in the series, Daddy Day Care, you have some idea into the hilarious thrill ride you are about to watch. The 2 Dads want to take their kids to the Camp they went to as kids only to find it rundown and about to close, you see where this is going....wait until you see the messes that they get themselves into! HILARIOUS! The characters are the same but the actors have changed and within minutes, you'll never know the difference, Cuba Gooding Jr does a terrific acting job. We watched this movie with our kids aged 7 & 15 as well as both Mom & Dad and we all enjoyed it.

this is a funny movie and i have enjoyed it very much my whole family has and i will enjoy it for along time. I do like the one with eddie murrpy but this comes in to a close second. I hope that other people buy the movie and enjoy it as i have

This is a really great movie that shows Mr Gooding in an outstanding role as a parent and the things he does to babysit his son and the adventures they all go through with this day camp thing. i recommend this movie to all, it is very comical and emotional at point. great for kids. excellent collectors.

If you like Daddy Day Care this is a movie for you. The kids love it. This is a great movie for the family.

This movie I thought was going to be a sequel to "daddy day care" with Eddie Murphy. This one is boring. It is not funny, it lacks the talented actors of the 1st movie, and just has no point.

I bought this movie for the price and because we have a new vehicle with a dvd player and needed more movies for the kids

Very funny! Never laughed so hard! Movie taught you about leadership, pulling together when things go wrong. Cheaters don't benefit. When the movie came out, I decided to look on ebay-that's where I get my movies from.
It is a great movie. It's a movie that can turn into a favorite!
A person who went to Camp Driftwood and wanted his child to go there too, but another neighboring camp has more to do with material things that would make any child overly happy. But when this person runs a day care center, he turns around and buys this camp even with all the tax problems, he refinances his house and his wife even backed him on this venture. He had to call in his retired father from the military to help him. This other camp had an Olympics and all they did was cheat and Camp Driftwood won the Olympics and gained self respect, whereas at the end more and more parents wanted their children to go there because of teaching children of proper values!
It was worth the money to get this second installment to "Daddy Day Care."

This movie is what I suspected, funny. Brand new. It was a reasonable price. I recommend this seller to many who's looking for up-to-date movies.

I love this movie!!!!!Its so funny,its one of my favorite movies EVER..The moral of the story is so great it teaches you that to never give up and go for what you want....I would definitely recomend this movie for someone who wants to see something very funny. I decided to buy this movie because when me and my mom went and saw this in theaters she said that when it came out she would buy this movie for me and she did!!..!!

Good clean fun for the entire family. We have the first one with Eddie Murry and its really is our favorite,but this one is funny also.

OK, nothing wrong with this movie, except I thought it was a little more adult orientated. I have shipped the movie off to my 2 Granddaughters (6 and 3), they will love it. My wife and I sat thru it and enjoyed it, but like I said...a tad Lame for a night out with pop corn and munchies..Hey what can I say, I am a impulse buyer...

Not as funny as Daddy Day Care but this one was a funny movie. My children loved it, they were glued to the TV and wanted to watch it over and over again!
