Norwegian DJ Annie Lilia Berge Strand's entry in the popular DJ KICKS series of dance mixes features 1970s punk rock pioneer Alan Vega and cutting-edge 1980s artists like Liquid Liquid alongside more recent alternative rock figures like Le Tigre. Annie had some underground success in 1999 with her song "The Greatest Hit," which featured her singing over a loop from Madonna's "Everybody," and this collection, which follows her debut full-length, ANNIEMAL, combines danceability with a closer look at her influences, as well as including two of her own previously unheard contributions, the Euro-pop dance tracks "Wedding" and "Gimme Your Money."
