D-link DCM-202 Cable Modem

Performed like a crippled man in a foot race they ought to be ashamed of themselves for charging a price like that for something that dont work.

And the award for the best gaming router goes too....... Its definitely not the d-link 4500. I set this router up using the software that came with it and when it was done everything appeared to be alright. After about 2 games of Call of duty 5 for xbox 360 i got kicked off... what the??? So i open the ports for the router to allow xbox live to run at its best and a couple games after that i got kicked off again....What the???? so i call d-link and start what ends up being the worst support ever (I called about 14 times) they first of all are not very good at speaking english at all so it was hard to understand them and the noise in the background each time i called was rediculous on top of not being able to understand them. So we started a series of trouble shooting steps and after the 10th or 12th time i called i started feeling like the steps we were following were just a chicken chase for me and they dont know what the hell they were doing??!! I not only would get disconnected from xbox live but also from the ps3 nintendo wii and my laptop so nothing worked. My service provider said everything was ok on their end my modem was tested and worked fine and a 200 dollar GAMING router should plug and play from jump. THIS IS BULL SHI.... I hooked my LINKSYS back up and played like a champ.... D-LINK 4500 GAMING ROUTER......= Nothing but chaos.

Some people have got this thing to work but check it out for yourself online im not the only person who has trouble with this thing. Downloaded the current firmware everything for nothing. At its cost it should plug and play easily without flaw.
And whats up with no online chat support D-LINK??? You guys suck

This D-Link cable modem is awesome! In stores it retails for $60.00 new and if i had to pay that price (instead of $23.50) it would be 100% worth it! I have Charter internet and the cable modem that you have to rent from them for $3 a month is nowhere the speed of this one! I would say my speed doubled! Great item!

D-Link keeps their reputation as the best. The DCM-202 is amazing, it never fails. I needed an Upgrade and D-Link took care of it.

Highly variable performance. Considerably less reliable and slower than the older Linksys I wanted to replace. Up and down so much that I reinstalled my Linksys. Comcast says they "support" the modem, but D-Link doesn't. No current firmware. Comcast firmware quite old as well. Upgrade procedure cumbersome and irreversible.

Pass on this one. I'll absorb my loss and not go there again.

super value deal with very cheap price but nice item. If the packing was in a box, it would be even better.

great buyer and great cummincation and great shipping i would by from again the modem didnt work correctly i sent it to dlink they trouble shooted it an told to to send to them and they gave me a brand new one the buyer also would have given me a refund but i waited to see what dlink would do either way i was pleased

Works great! It is pretty fast, could be my internet though, but i have no complaints what so ever.. very user friendly...

I Like everything about the D-Link DCM-202 Cable Modem. I have 10mbps download and 1mbps upload and I haven't had any problems out of it at all. If it's working properly you will not be disappointed at all.

I upgraded from the DCM-200 to the DCM-202. What an improvement , my download and upload speeds almost doubled. Great product , don't even think about it just get one of these modems.

Trouble free installation,..nice design,..good performance. This is a nice product at a good price.

This is a great modem if you are using an internet phone service like packet8.net or something similar.

I tried using the Motorola with built in router 900 series and it is a great modem but not for internet phone users. Well in my experience anyways.

I have other DLink hardware in my home network so I decided to purchase this cable modem. It worked great, came with orignal packaging as described.
