D.E.B.S. (DVD, 2005, Special Edition)

A clever parody of teen-hero movies such as "Agent Cody Banks", women spies & various anime characters. It was entertaining, funny and the leads are both gorgeous and talented.

While the story is over-the-top, that's to be expected. And the cast played it straight which, for me, heightens the humor. The seduction & later love scene are handled well. The beautiful Jordana Brewster and Sara Foster were believable as the star-crossed lovers who finally set aside their pasts to be together.

The supporting cast, including Holland Taylor and Michael Clark Duncan, were well-cast.

The action scenes, while few for a spy genre movie, were pretty well-choreographed and set the tone for the initial antipathy between Amy and Lucy.

All in all, a fun romp with a great cast. It'll never make a top 10 or even a top 100 list but it's worth the time and effort if you like beautiful lesbians, a cute love story or even a well-done parody of spy films.

I love the concept of the movie,how young women can be whoever they choose to be and love who they choose to love.

I was curious to see this film because it was featured on the previews of another dvd I bought and produced by the same person. I wasn't sure what to make of "D.E.B.S." initially. The plot is somewhat futuristic, about a group school girls unlike "Charlie's Angels" in many respects, who fight for what is good and battle against evil. The main reason I bought it was because it was produced by Andrea Sperling, the same woman who produced "Itty Bitty Titty Committee." Having loved "Itty Bitty", I figured "D.E.B.S." would be along similar wavelengths - and it was. The same lesbian element is raised in both films, but in "D.E.B.S.", the good guy falls for the bad guy and risks her reputation and relationship with her friends (fellow D.E.B.S.) by doing so. While I found the love story between Amy (good guy) and Lucy (bad guy) to be honestly and accurately portrayed, the element of humour throughout the film was weak in parts and occasionally cheesy in nature. Perhaps this was the intention of the writer (Angela Robinson) and producers from the outset, but I found it conflicted with my overall enjoyment of the film at times. Overall, not a bad film though, and definitely one to add to your collection if you love lesbian features.

I APPRECIATE THE SELLERS FEEDBACK. UPON RECIEVING THIS ITEM I BOUGHT, IT WAS IN THE CONDITION THAT WAS PROMISED. ALSO, SHIPPING WAS QUICK. THE WHOLE PROCESS SIMPLE AND EASY TO FOLLOW.

This film may not be a blockbuster hit, but it doesn't mean it's not entertaining. It's a fun film to watch. There are scenes where the director wanting to come off as Scooby Dooish and succeeded. Overall it wasn't disappointing to watch.

A little silly but fun to watch! That's why I added it to my library. Good storyline and characters. Loved the bad guy...I mean girl!

I loved the 15 min short film, so I knew I was going to love the film. I loved how the characters developed in the film. I hope there's a D.E.B.S. 2.
