In 1990 Jacquelyne Y Jones North pioneered a mass movement of Czechoslovakian perfume bottle collectors by resurecting the demand for these forgotten objects of beauty with her popular book " Czechoslovakian Perfume Bottles and Boudoir Accessories".
I find the Book To Be one of the best written on the subject, devoting the first twenty-three pages to the history of Bohemian /Czechoslovakian Glass From it's centuries old hay-day of Fame through World War II to Present. The rest of the book is mostly a resource of over 900 Beautiful and clear colored photographs of cataloged antique perfume bottles, powder bowls, and other Glass and Crystal products from Czechoslovakia. The book's pages flow like a photo gallery and is Followed by an invaluable Index of each Item's estimated worth, corresponding to each photo.
I Love the brief concise Information On Artist/ Designers such as Heinrich Hoffman, and the wonderful black and white layouts of old Irving W. Rice adds that show numerous bottles from over the years.
I Do Wish that the prices were right next to the numbered Items in each photo. This way I would't have to turn to the back every time I wanted to know how much a bottle was worth. This gets a little cumbersome.
I, However, find myself returning to this book to skim through It's lovely pages. It has been a very valuable tool to me as a collector, and a very enjoyable, visual, entertaining pastime read.
