Cyberhome CH-LDV 700B 7 in. Portable DVD Player

I bought this portable player and after one week it broke. The screen was fine, but the dvd reading laser broke and would cost more to fix it than to get a new one. For thw week I had it, the dvd quality was good, but I would not reccomend buying it due to its quick death.

Works great on the road, in hotel rooms, at school, houses with no dvd player. i love hooking intot the tv and displaying my images from a cd or dvd onto the tv.

For few times I did use it the device seemed to perform to my expectations. It's a cheap brand, but it played all of the DVD (and DVD-R copies) just fine. I liked how it came with an entire kit. For the money I say it's worth it, but I'm sure there are higher quality brands out there.

I wanted to have a portable dvd player. Unfortunately this has not worked well. The monitor goes blank after a very short time.

I had one and it stop working, i like that you can set these dvd players up to your tv and take them traveling. I think they are great!!!

It powers the DVD Player properly and does not get hot like a linear power supply does. The DVD Player was a gift.

This player will serve you well IF you're an adult with modest requirements for a DVD player.

The operation is simple and straightforward; you don’t have to be a technical genius to get this one going. The instruction manual is clearly written. This player is not very responsive on commands, either from the console or the remote control. Once you have it playing, this unit does a pretty good job. The menus, options, and player functions are clear and easy to use.

This unit has good composite and S-video outs that make this a good middle of the road choice, and for the price, you can't complain. The audio is standard line level output. The headset drive is adequate for most sets.

The downside is the power connector, very thin and it won't take a lot of shoving or torque before it breaks off. The battery would be adequate if the charger worked reliably, so count on using AC or the car battery for a power source. The only way you can get a replacement battery is to look for another unit for parts. Don't look for fancy player features or component output - they aren't there.

This unit isn’t particularly rugged so it won’t tolerate much physical abuse, dropping, or rough handling. As I said, this is an adults-only device. Children will kill this unit in less than a day.

Tech support, repair, and replacement parts are non-existent on-line or anywhere else. Therefore, consider this to be a “if-it-breaks, throw away” purchase. I bought a broken unit on e-bay for a penny and it was worth every cent.

I'm a Technician always in the field. I used this to play MP3s with a stand alone sub-woofer. This unit exposed of dust, extreme heat and cold, I mounted this on my dash board using an industrial Velcro. I have this for 2 years and it still working( plays DVD and MP3).

Loved how small and light it was. Hated that it shutdown everytime I tried to used it after maybe 2 minutes. Open button was definately busted. Packaging was awesome, so that didn't cause the problem. I loved it, it just didn't work!

What you pay is what you get. What I liked about this player is the battery. Though it lasts about 3 hrs, they are cheap and portable.
The player itself is ok. Nothing special. Mine broke down after a few years of use. What can I say, I bought it really cheap. No complaints.
