Cutthroat Island (DVD, 2007, O-Card Packaging)

Our family has always loved this movie! We are big fans of Geena Davis and of course, who doesn't love a pirate movie??? Lots of action and a little romance and comedy, plus the swashbuckling- oh my! Great combiination!

A slightly "over the top" movie with all kinds of subtle words and actions which make it fun to see over and over!

Watched this after the PoTC movies and was not disappointed. Being we both love Pirates it was great to add a good old adventure movie to our collection. It is really amazing the detail the producers and director went to in building replica Pirate ships, and it has given us great ideas for our planned wedding in October of this year.

The movie is about what you'd get if "Pirates of the Caribbean" was cast with a
woman as the lead pirate. I was favorably impressed.

A real cute movie with great actors..it is great movie for the whole family! I loved it! It is similar to Pirates movie with lots of action and a great story line. I would recommend this movie to anyone.

It's a solid B pirate movie. swashbuckling action, twists and turns, great humor, the works. Has a slight parody-feel to it, similar to ROBIN HOOD: MEN IN TIGHTS, though obviously leaning more towards an action movie. Worth watching more than once.

I 1st saw this movie when it came out. It was an awesome adventure movie and saw nothing bad about it at all. Very original and you can tell where Disney got their idea to make Pirates Of The Caribbean from and sorts. If you never saw this movie it's well worth seeing!

Love the storyline, love the fight scenes..ok so it's not Xena..but Geena Davis proves her worth as a fighter and a Damsel not in distress..Matthew Modine is cute funny and brave in this movie..funny though he looks nothing in the movie like he does on the cover..Film begins with an attack on a pirate ship a young Woman struggles to save a pirate who turns out to be her Dad, before he dies he gives her a final order swearing to carry out her Fathers last request she fights her way to freedom then into the arms of a least likely suitor played by Modine..probably not a good film for anyone under the age of 13..I could even go as high as 17 on this one because of the violence..A true not to be missed movie!! 5 out of 5 stars!!
