Synopsis Devastated by the fact that her brother nearly died while under her care, a teenager named Callie begins cutting herself to deal with her pain. Now in a psychiatric hospital, Callie refuses to speak but senses a kinship with the other female patients in her ward. When a serious cutting incident frightens her, Callie begins to seek the help she needs.
While confined to a mental hospital, thirteen-year-old Callie slowly comes to understand some of the reasons behind her self-mutilation, and gradually starts to get better.
