Movie Description When inspector Clouseau is declared missing, another inept detective is hired to solve the mystery. This latest in the series of Pink Panther films features an outstanding score by Henry Mancini.
| Credits | | Cast: | Capucine, Robert Wagner, Ted Wass |
Notes This was legendary actor David Niven's last role before he died, although his last film to be released was Bryan Forbes' "Better Late Than Never." Impressionist Rich Little dubbed his voice.
Shot concurrently with "Trail of the Pink Panther" which was released in 1982. It is one of the only Pink Panther films that didn't star Peter Sellers, who died in 1980. Blake Edwards directed the entire series with the exception of "Inspector Clouseau" (1968), directed by Bud Yorkin, and he continues to make sequels with Italian actor/comedian Roberto Benigni as the new Clouseau.
Shot in Panavision.
Editorial Reviews "...Blake Edwards has created genuinely funny sight gags....[Wass] does provide moments of hilarity..." Lor.
