The Cure Is in the Cupboard by Cassim Igram (2001, Paperback, Revised)

I have fibromyalgia. I am always looking for alternative medicine to help me with this. One evening I heard Dr. Cass Ingram speak on oil of oregano. I found his book on ebay for an excellent price. After reading this short, but full of informational book I was so delighted in the way it was written and the background of oregano oil. It goes into great detail of this Medeterainean plant and why the Mayo clinic considers it a cure of all sorts of diseases. Mainly, it helps the immune system. It also contains research papers done from various studies at John Hopkins Un.
I loved the way it was written. Describing the Dr's background and the history of the oregano plant ranging back to the Bible. He has chapters of complaints, illnesses etc and then a simple way of explaining how much and how long one should use this oil to relieve the symptons and get rid of the problem.
He follows strict FDA guidelines (can't hurt the pharmacuetical business!)not claiming that it is a cure all. But, I plan to keep this book around and it won't be going back through Ebay!!

I can't say enough about this book, and Oil of Oregano. My son twisted his back out at work. He was in intense pain, on high doses of pain killers, and in physical therapy. The pain killers only made him loopy, and didn't touch the pain. Oil of Oregano rubbed into the sore areas of his back was FANTASTIC. I strained my back, and had problems with my sciatic nerve on Wednesday evening. I spent 2 days in the worst pain ever. The pain killers weren't touching the pain. I put a couple of drops on my lower back, and in 2 hours the pain was GONE. I couldn't believe it. I could also stand upright again. I also helped my brother move some heavy boxes out of the basement, and loaded them into his car. I placed an order that night for some more Oil of Oregano. All I can say is - Thank you Dr. Cassim Igram for writing this book!
