Culture Warrior by Bill O'Reilly (2006, Hardcover)

Perhaps it's just me, but I think if one is to offer a book review one must actually READ the book. That being said, anyone that is able to stomach the first 10% or so will understand what this book is all about - propaganda. Like it or not we live in a society where information control = power, and if you want to have power you must disseminate information that, true or not, helps your cause. This book is a great example of how twisting the truth is not only common practice, but has been refined so well as to fool a majority of the population.

In short, if you're a journalism major or equivalent and want to understand how it is our society has become what it is today, this book will offer some great insight. If you're looking to actually UNDERSTAND our society, I suggest you look elsewhere.
