Movie Description

Murnau's silent classic NOSFERATU (1922) is the original DRACULA adaptation, transforming Bram Stoker's novel into a haunting, shadowy fever dream of paranoia and dread. Considered by many to be the best exploitation film ever, REEFER MADNESS (1937) is a hilariously campy classic about the dangers of the devil's weed, marijuana. Produced by low-budget horror king Roger Corman, Francis Ford Coppola's directorial debut DEMENTIA 13 (1963) is a terror-filled tale of family ties chopped to pieces. And the heavily stylized sets, anti-realist acting, and evocative camerawork of Robert Weine's cinematic landmark THE CABINET OF DR. CALIGARI (1919) offers a classic example of early silent German expressionism. See individual titles for further plot details.
