Cuisinart SPB-7 SmartPower 7-Speed Blender

I finally retired the last blender that I purchased through Hamilton Beach. This last blender still worked but did not crush ice very well and the lid finally cracked.

I purchased this blender for the ice crush feature as well as a few others. At first I opened the box and set up the blender thinking I would be a professional chef right off the bat. I threw in some ice hit some buttons and they stayed chunked. I was disappointed. I then read the instructions of how to effectively crush ice. Tried again (yes men I read the instructions) and was able to make perfect slushies. The largest chunk I found was barely even noticeable. Great for crushing ice.

The other features that make this an excellent buy are push button interface (no longer need to press those square buttons), very durable chamber (I would say the pitcher is about 1/8" thick and washes in the dishwasher easily), plastic top seal (perfectly keeps liquids in the blender and is easy to clean), and the chrome look just goes perfectly with my kitchen attire.

As the title states the price is a bit high for something that just blends food; however, I would defidently recommend making the investment and getting a good blender like this one!
