Cuisinart Grind & Brew DGB-700 12-Cup Coffee Maker

PROS:

Makes the best tasting cup of coffee like the other Cuisinart coffee makers. I have tried many other brands of coffee makers and Cuisinart I feel makes the smoothest tasting cup of coffee.

I think that the difference is the brewing temperature of the water. I have found that other coffee makers make a more "bitter" tasting cup of coffee because the temp. is too high and have found this to be true regardless of the brand of coffee that I use.

Well made, solid construction.

Numerous features, such as brew strength, auto program, auto shut-off to name a few.

CONS:

NOISY grinder. Like the predecessor, the grinder is very noisy - noisier than a comparable burr grinder.

Rather tall - might be an issue if your cabinet clearance is low.

I would have given this an excellent but for the noisy grinder. I use it mostly with ground coffee and use the grinder for special occasions because of the noise.

This Burr Grind and Brew Coffee Maker is really great. Makes terrific coffee and, other than periodic maintenance, is way easier than other non-grind coffee makers. This is really a KEEPER! Highly recommended.

It makes really great coffe and that makes the extra work of keeping it clean and functioning worth it.
Now when my husband and I are out it makes it hard to enjoy a cup of coffee because i am just wishing I were at home drinking my own.
