Cuisinart DTC-975BKN 12-Cup Coffee Maker

This coffee maker makes a great cup of coffee. Also, The unit shuts off after brewing, but the carafe keeps the coffee hot for hours without getting a burnt taste from the warming plate. I love this coffee maker.

It is very important that it stay cool to touch due to my grandbabies. and it does and the screw on lid is also a plus so that the hot coffee does not accidently get spilled and NO one gets burned!! Love this item.

I wanted a good solid coffee maker with a thermal container, so I bought a Cuisinart. I have several Cuisinart kitchen appliances and have experienced nothing but excellent performance from them.
I have used this coffee maker for several weeks and am very happy with it's performance. The Cuisinart brews great coffee, and the thermal container has kept the coffee warm for four to five hours.
There is nothing I dislike about the Cuisinart. I am very pleased woth my purchase.

I bought this coffee maker because of the brand name, the size (12 cup), and because it was refurbished. It makes great coffee and keeps it hot for many hours! The reason that I like refurbished, is because everything was tested,
so how can you go wrong, and then there's the 3 mo. warrantee - what more could you want-- good price, yes, you got that, too! It's a perfect coffee maker, and I love it!

The product broke after one week and Cuisinart does not honor the warrenty! The coffee maker beeps even when the unit is not making coffee. It turns on randomly through out the day. I hope that this unit can be replaced by the seller.

Great carafe that keeps the coffee warm OVERNIGHT! Amazing. A full 12 cups -- instead of the usual 10 or 8 cups offered by most carafe coffee makers. The only complaint I have with this coffee maker is that the carafe pours a little slow. The coffee kinda trickles out of the carafe instead of a stream. When my last one of these quite I bought two more (1 as a backup). I have given them as gifts and my friends love this coffee maker as much as I do.

I like the fact that it has a 12 cup ss carafe to keep the coffee hot all day long. It's also programable so coffee can be ready when you wake up. I bought the unit refurbished, and when I received it the outside had many scratches on it. When you buy something refurbished they try to make it look brand new as possible, my old coffe maker looks brand new compared to the refurbed model. I bought it because of the price, but it come's down to the old saying you get what you paid for.

This is great!!! I made coffee at 8:30 and it was still steaming when I poured a cup at 2:30. Tastes pefect!!! It all good. I'm very happy with this :)

I purchased this coffee maker as a reconditioned model from a Cuisinart company. Wise move in that I got it for a great price with the same warranty as a new one. This is a great coffee maker! The first cup is hot and 2 hours later, the next cup is hot. The coffee maker looks sharp and it's always clean. It compliments my kitchen instead of looking like an eye sore. No burner clean ups or discoloration. The coffee makes right in the stainless steel crafe and when it's complete, just take the crafe to the table, patio, etc. and enjoy a fine cup of coffee. The 12 cup capacity is wonderful. We have two very large mugs of coffee when we use it and there's still some left for unexpected guests. If I set the timer for 6 a.m. and don't get up until 9 a.m. I still can have a hot cup of coffee waiting for me without it being burned and over cooked. In addition, when it completes a brew, the coffee maker turns off. No more worries of "Did I turn off the coffee maker?". The only con is it dosen't have a cord keeper. Not withstanding, it is, without a doubt, the best coffee maker I have ever owned. Do yourself a favor, buy one today!

I love the Cuisinart coffeepot. I have always used one of this brand. The product was reconditioned, in excellent condition, and sent immediately.
The service and the product were great and I would gladly order again.

I bought this product as a gift for my mom. It has a big pot so that more than one person can drink a cup or so. It looks great and it was priced super. !!

This coffee maker is the best I have ever owned. I tried one of those Italian ones and the thing broke in a short period of time . The coffee is perfect and since I'm quite fussy about my coffee I was very happy about that. I'll use Cuisinart products from now on, oh, and the price was extrodinarily low!!!

Makes a very good cup of coffee, but I still haven't found one of these that keeps the coffee hot for an hour plus. Better than most though. If they would just build one that sent a brief warming pulse into the thermal carafe as the coffee is going in, that would help.

Very happy after about one month of use. The stainless steel carafe keeps coffee warm for a long time -- about half a carafe of coffee from yesterday morning (miscalculated the demand for coffee) was still almost hot -- could have drunk it black that way.

The carafe lid is ingenious, with small plastic balls that allow brewed coffee in but otherwise seal the lid, until a ball rolls out of the way when the carafe is tilted to pour. A concern was whether the carafe lip would pour well, or dribble, like the last Black & Decker stainless carafe did (the main reason for this purchase). It pours well.

The unit is just an inch too tall to slide under the cabinets above the counter, but cabinet height is probably a variable. The included "gold" filter works fine. The stainless trim on the brew basket is attractive. The lack of detailed instruction (it's a refurb) left me to my own resources in figuring out operation, but once you get the nerve to pull the brew basket open (it opens from left to right, hinge is on the right), everything else is pretty standard.

The coffee is good. I'm not a connoisseur but I think the coffee fan sites name this as one of the brewers that attains the "correct" water temperature for "ideal" coffee prep. I did notice a difference in flavor from the old B & D, which I'm sure did not reach ideal heat (it went lukewarm in 3-4 hours), and assume the cup of Eight O'Clock coffee I now enjoy is closer to the ideal (but for the cheesy choice of beans).

A bargain, glad I went refurb rather than a cheap one (i.e. same price, lesser quality) at a local store. I have bought two Cuisinart refurbs (the other a toaster) and both have been indistinguishable from new (other than the plain boxing) and seem to be ready for a long run. Obviously, not heavy duty commercial, but excellent in the home appliance class.
