Cuisinart DCC-1200 12-Cup Coffee Maker

I previously had a Braun with the stainless carafe that was supposed to keep the coffee hot - what a joke! The Cuisinart not only makes hotter coffee but actually doesn't "dribble" when I pour the water into the machine! Very pleased overall and would highly recommend.

Very quick shipping, item described exactly as received, I couldn't be happier. I made the purchase based on the exact item I was looking for, the price was fantastic plus there was no price padding with shipping/handling, couple that with the the sellers great feedback score and I found a Great eBay seller.

We love our Cuisinart Brew Central DCC-1200 12-Cup Coffee Maker! It makes wonderful coffee with an excellent timer system. It beeps to let you know when the coffee is ready and then beeps to let you know it has cut itself off. It has an automatic timer and all the bells and whistles.

I had been looking for a great coffee maker at a reasonable price. Consumer Reports listed this as the best and I was able to get it for a great price on ebay.

It brews a consistent, hot cup of coffee. The makers I have had in the past either scald the coffee or it is cooler than I like. The conical filter seems to get full flavor from the grinds.

I also really like the ease of getting the carafe in and out of the maker. You can get a hot cup before the end of the brew without a mess. My only small beef is that it does lose a few drops onto the burner when doing this, but it is minimal and less than coffee makers that I have used in the past.

The programming is easy to use and the on/off switch is in a location where I never forget to turn it off. I would recommend this to anyone who'd listen.

I thought that i had hot coffee before, I was wrong. A glass carafe gets much hotter than a Thermal. WHAT A GREAT BUY!!

This is a most fabulous coffee maker. The coffee stays hot! ! ! The carafe has a solid and substantial feel. The brew always consistant. Drawbacks, I prefer to air out the maker after cleaning the pot and filter, this model is just too tall to keep the lid open to dry naturally under kitchen cabinets.

The product arrived promptly but broken. When I inquired how to proceed, the seller responded promptly "please send it back w/ a letter stating the problem and we will replace it.. thank you - cuisinart_factory". I did and he did. The replacement coffee maker is excellent. CAUTION: This is a rebuilt unit. It says so in the e-bay advertisement, but it's not obvious.

I later attempted to get the seller to reimburse me for the (shipping) cost of returning the broken coffee maker. He ignored my letter -- no response whatsoever. I tracked him down and telephoned: He was arrogant and said that it was not his policy to pay return shipping cost, and that I should have read his e-bay advertisement, including Terms and Conditoins and Return Policy more carefully. Well, he's right, but I think that his policy stinks and I still wouldn't ever buy anything from him again.

The coffee make was preety much as promised, except it showed the normal stainless steel color in the online photo. It was in fact, the dark black stainless steel color. Other than that, the price was right, and the coffee tastes good and it operates as promised.

Ok, I have to confess, I bought the Cuisinart because it looked like it would go with my kitchen, it had a water filter, Cuisinart was a good name, and the sale price was right. Hey, it was time to replace my coffee maker. I could not have expected, however, a coffee maker with such logical controls, and sturdy yet light construction. The coffee tastes great, the unit comes with a gold tone cone filter (cones are the only way to go), and a filtration system. Oh, and it looks great. I'm a believer!

The item was delivered very quickly and was in good condition. I would use this sight again to make a purchase.

love this machine! after 29+ yrs, i have finally found what i have always wanted in a coffee maker. not too big for my counter, make s 12 cups, and any way that you program it, each cup is delicious. every feature works like a charm too. even w/o the special water filter, the coffee is delicious like starbucks. no kidding. have read reviews about the place to pour in the water is inconvenient in the back of the machine, but i found that to be untrue. had the model that also ground the beans and that was a real pain....always ended up with water everywhere. stopped using the grind feature. this is the perfect maker for me!!

I purchased this coffeemaker in black to match my other kitchen appliances. The matte black finish looks fantastic and does not show any fingerprints which others have commented about with the chrome and stainless steel finishes. The carafe has a well-designed handle which you wouldn't think of as much of a big deal unless you have dealt with other designs which cause you to basically invert the carafe to get the last of the coffee out. This model also has a nice feature which was not described in the product description and that is a removable filter housing, so when you remove the disposable paper or reusable goldtone filter, you can then remove the filter housing by its handy finger ring for ease of cleaning. That was a nice surprise. Finally, I was somewhat concerned about the looks of the coffeemaker by its description as a "retro" design. Other than maybe the toggle switch to turn the coffeemaker on and off (which is not at all prominent) the rest of the design doesn't strike me as "retro". Anyway, I highly recommend this coffeemaker.

consumers recommended this coffeemaker. it replaces a braun which i think is much better. it does not have an outside water display an is hard to pour water in if you are left handed.

Bought this unit to replace an older Krups that made good coffee that came our only warm and cooled off quickly. I thought I wanted one with a thermos type carafe but after reading several reviews of this Cuisinart unit and having found what seemed like a good deal on eBay, I went for this one and don't regret it. The coffee brews quickly, has great taste and stays hot. It's a bonus that I like the "retro" look of the machine. The only drawback is that it is a tall unit so I have to pull it our from under the overhead cabinets in order to fill 'er up. No regrets so far.

FINALLY WE HAVE A COFFEE MAKER THAT IS COFFEE MAKER FLIXIBLE, AND MAKES VERY GOOD COFFEE. WE BOUGHT IT FOR QUITE A BIT LESS THAN IT SELLS HERE FOR. SELLER WAS PROMPT AND PROFESSIONAL, COULD NOT ASK FOR MORE.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my daughter and her husband. Before deciding on which coffee maker to buy, I checked it out in Consumer Reports. This was rated as #1. Can't wait to give it to her!!

I bought this as a gift for my parents and they absolutely love it! It makes great coffee and has an easy pour spout that doesn't drip or spill on the counter! Great buy!

We have purchased (3) only because the coffee is good and very hot. Each coffee maker has a problem with shutting off prior to 2 hours and coffee getting cold. I didn't know if anyone else had this problem.

Due to the untimely demise of my Mr. Coffee maker, I was looking for something that did a better job. After some research, I landed on the Cuisinart DCC 1200 due to good reviews regarding operation and quality of taste. Though on arrival I had to repair a small leak from the water reservoir, the product was "as advertised" and is working beautifully!! Best cup o' joe I've ever made! Thanks again.

I had one of these before and after 4 years it died. I bought this because I wanted the same fantastic coffee brewer I had before. I am very satisfied.

This was a birthday present for my parents.. It was brand new and half the price of retail.. Great packaging and shipping.. Wonderful product and would buy from this seller again..

Makes nice coffee, and has adjustable heat and a timer. But if you like strong coffee, as we do, the listed 12-pot capacity ends up being only 8 cups. While the pot is 12 cups, the coffee basket is unfortunately exactly the same size as that of our older, smaller capacity 8-cup Cuisinart coffee maker.

Rated best by Consumer Reports. Dislike the "snap-on" lid to the coffee pot itself. Seems cheap and not long lasting. It works great and has many good features, like clock/timer, brew settings, metal filter, calcium build-up indicator and more. Good looking.
