Perfect CD for the MELVINS beginner

This disc is a great introduction for the Melvins neophyte. It's not their strongest release but a more mainstream one, if that's possible. It features a star-studded lineup of the undergrounds finest musicians. Members from bands like Tool, Jesus Lizard, Faith No More, Painteens, Helmet and Superjoint Ritual.
The CD starts off with a song by the Melvins most famous roadie, Kurt Cobain, and sung by the 1970 most famous teen idol, Leif Garrett. What A mix! It then wanders all over the place after that ending with a track with Kevin Sharp from one of King Buzzo's other bands - Venomous Concept. The contributions from Hank Williams the Third are excellent and help to expand the universe. The purchase price for this disc (3 in a 3 part series) is worth it for his two tracks alone. Don't let that be your only reason though.
1. Smells Like Teen Spirit - Leif Garrett - Grungy
2. Blockbuster - David Yow- Noisy
3. Ramblin' Man - Hank III, Henry Bogdan- Country
4. G I Joe - Mike Patton - Quirky
5. Mine Is No Disgrace - Scraping Foetus - Durgey
6. Spineless - Skeleton Key- Rocky
7. Divorced - tool - best drum/bass combo today - Tooly
8. Dry Drunk - Yow, Godzik Pink - Yowza - Driving & Melviny
9. Okie From Muskogee - Hank III, Henry - Haggardy
10. The Man With The Laughing Hand Is Dead - Bliss Blood - Scary
11. Moon Pie - Kevin Sharp - Dreamy
BTW - This is not a Lustmord release. I don't know why most of the Melvins releases are listed that way, they only did one full-length together.
