Cry_Wolf (DVD, 2005, Widescreen - Unrated)

The really terrible games begin much earlier at this prep school than you might have expected for our British student named Owen.

Before the film begins character introductions and gets underway, we somehow witness the tale end of a brutal shooting of a young blond woman we have no idea what, when, how, or why.

Our foreign guy named Owen, who has happened to land at this school because of bad circumstances from his previous girl-friend's revenge, lands him at this school only to fall into a group of smart and sassy students who know each other all much to well. Playing a mid-night game where those involved wager upon keeping from being the Wolf. This frightful game has three important rules: Avoid suspicion, lie to your best friends, and eliminate you enemies.

Much to the chagrin of everyone in the group, Owen (Julian Morris), plays the game so well, he comes away with all the money. We soon find that Dodger (Lindy Booth) convinces or sways Owen to spread a hoax email about the murder of this girl by a supposed serial killer describing in detail how it happened and how others next will meet their demise.

This film was well-crafted and thought through, thanks to Jeff Wadlow and Beau Bauman's collaborated genius. At 91 minutes, it's editing was marked only buy its scenery. Even though the story-line gets quite complicated it times, it always seems to follow the one character Owen and keep you feeling for his plight.

Many tricks and turns in this movie, so don't expect any particular outcome, since this film was made to entice the viewer into following it through until the end.

I'm going to give this film a 4/5, and I've seen the PG-13 Version as well, however, the unrated version really spices things up.

This movie is not your typical slasher. It is not even a thriller or horror really. Its more like a tv show series episode. Nonetheless -- ONLY RENT this - the concept of the movie is good. The teens end up screwing with the new guy in town with a game they all like to play.

This film is filled with blood gore twists and turns the ending was a HUGE surprise..I definitely did not see it coming..This is one of those make you jump movies so be sure you love the one you're with coz chances are you'll end up sitting in that persons lap before it's over..horror/slasher movie fans will love this one!

I of course bought this for the Jared Padalecki factor, but was let down because he was a dumb college kid, instead of having any similarities to the beloved "Sam Winchester" whom I adore. However, it was actually a good movie; interesting twists, decent acting, and enough eye candy to keep me interested all the way to the end! Dissapointed that Padalecki was only in a supporting role, but even if he hadn't have been in it, I would have watched it and enjoyed it.

I wasn't expecting much from this movie, but it was better than most of the "B" movies out there. The plot was kinda dunb but so what? It's a horror film.

I love scary movies. The dislikes I had about the dvd itself was there were scratches on it. Contacted to seller but have came to no resolution.

I really enjoyed this movie.

A group of prep-school teens have formed a sort of "Liars Club" where they each have to try to fool the other members into believing their tales. After a blonde (not in the group) gets murdered, the group decides to expand their thrills and create a tale to fool the entire school. So, they create a tale in which it is believed that the blondes killer is actually a serial killer. In an email they send out to the entire school, each supposed murder is described in detail.

The joke is on the group when it seems the real killer rec'd the email and is now killing each one off just as the email had described. After the murders start occuring, the members of the group can no longer even trust each other. After all, they are all known to "cry wolf" too many times.

There are too plot twists that I found to be really nice. I love a movie that can trick me and this one did the trick. I guessed the truth in "The Others" withing the first 20 minutes. I guessed in "The Sixth Sense" almost immediately. Cry Wolf managed to keep the truth under wraps to nearly the end. Nice!

Cry Wolf is the perfect movie for anyone who likes watching thrilling, edge-of-your seat, can't stop watching it kinds of movies. Great for teenagers ages 12-18. Parents will also enjoy. :)

Cry Wolf was not really all that scary or suspenseful. If you want to see a great movie that this one is trying to be like, go see Wes Craven's movie titled "Scream" or any of its other sequals - they were all better than this movie. The movie involves a bunch of prep school kids who play a game of murder which begins to look as if it has gone horribly wrong, but then it turns entirely into something else. Yes, someone does actually die, but it doesn't bother you that much that this person eats the dirt sandwhich. You'll know who it is in the beginning of the movie, or better yet, just read the dust jacket to see who's in the movie, then you'll know. The UNRATED version has nothing objectionable or obscene, or anything at all that would make this movie seem remotely UNRATED!? It had to have been a ploy to get you to want to watch it. Save your money.

this is a story about a group of high school kids who turn one murder into game. they write an email and send to every one on campus telling about how one murder led into a bunch of other murders. they even go as far as describing how the next victim looked and how they died. soon their joke turns real. the group of friends begin to drop dead just as described. when the last kid remaining ends the series of murders, he uncovers a twist in the plot. the movie is suspenseful and entertaining from beginning til end. all of the actors are no names, but they are really good. excellent movie to watch on a dark stormy night.

I originally bought this movie, because it was cheap and I thought it might be a good movie nite flick. Boy was I surprised when I actually sat down to watch it! Not only is the plot so thick and the acting so wonderful, the suspense is even greater...not til the end do you realize, that you really bought a great Movie for a great price...(I only paid .99 plus s/h) I will not spoil the plot or the suspense, but just do your self a favor if you like scary movies, buy it and watch it for yourself. You will be pleasantly surprised..

Great dvd, exactly as said it was, perfect condition, quick shipping at a really goo price, will buy from again..............great e-bayer........................

It is a DVD with Jon BonJovi in it so it couldn't be anything but spectacular and is was. I will watch this again and again. Jon is my favorite celebrity of all time. I didn't know about this movie of his until I saw it on Ebay and there isn't much that I don't know when it comes to JBJ.

I have not watched this movie yet, but it looks as if it is going to be a good movie to watch. I like horror movies so I am sure that it will give me a thrill.

The movie was in perfect condition and my daughter loves it.
