This is a good workout video. I like that it combines aerobics with the Pilates. It is different than any other workout videos I have tried. Enjoyed it very much.

I bought this DVD(Crunch - Burn and Firm Pilates)after checking it out from my local library and trying it first. I liked it from the first time I tried it, and I knew that this was one workout DVD that I would actually enjoy doing over and over. The instructor, Ellen Barret, is pleasant, and her queues are clear and easy to follow. The workout lasts about 48 minutes and covers just about all of the muscle groups of the body. Not a minute or move is wasted, and you will maximize the benefits of this workout if you use the three pound weights recommended (but optional). The workout ends with a great ab routine. The background music reminds me of Yanni's music, which is another reason why this DVD is one of my favorites.

I have 3 Ellen Barrett DVD's and 10 other Pilates DVD's and this one is my absoulute favorite. I use this as a strenth and cardio exercise dvd. I noticed after only a few weeks that my jeans fit better (my ultimate test) and my waistline looked smaller. I still have 40 to go, but this one is a keeper!

I work out regularly to other toning and aerobic videos and wanted to try Pilates. I love this workout! Worked muscles I didn't know I had. Easy to follow, great workout. I recommend to anyone, beginner or advanced.

I love this DVD. The workout is quick, effective and the 45 minutes fly by. I have a few other of the crunch pilates videos and this is the one that I like the most. This one instructs you to use small weights, so you get twice the benefits out of this.

I watched this DVD once through first before trying it and thought it looked much too easy for an advanced exerciser like me. Well, while the moves may be easy, it definitely got me sweating! Using the light weights burns a few more calories, but beginners can do the workout with no weights at all. If you're looking for an uncomplicated workout to get your heart rate up, this will do the job.

This workout is different than most other pilates workouts because it incorporates light weights. I did this after doing a workout DVD with Jillian from Biggest Looser and WOW!!! I was feeling it. I workout 5 days doing cardio, pilates, yoga and weights. I most certainly would recommend this workout. It is a must you switch up your workouts so the more options the better. :)
Stay strong and keep drinking plenty of water!!!!!!!!!

This is an excellent and intensive video that really takes you through a good cardio routine. It was excellently packaged. I decided to buy this because the local gym was reaping my pockets clean with subscriptions yet i could do this at home for less than $20. Great.

I wanted an introduction to Pilates, and this workout is ideal. It's not too easy, though, and you get a great workout without going into high impact moves. The instructor speaks in a pleasing way and keeps you motivated. (I don't like instructors that are too perky and that border on a whiny tone. Those workouts need to be called "crash and burn"!!) I bought the CD as a way to vary my home workouts. Also, my three year old likes to join in on some of the moves. My only regret is that the instructor doesn't explain how to intensify the moves once I become proficient. I'll probably strap on some ankle weights or use some heavier dumb-bells. (It is recommended that you have two sets of the latter, with five pounds being the max.)

I went into this workout misinformed that it was for beginners - which it definitely isn't! It is a high-powered 48 minutes of sweat-producing work! I have 2 other Ellen Barrett's Crunch Pilates workouts that I LOVE (one with Yoga, and one with Aerobics) and this one is 6 mins. longer and it really is too much for my outer thighs. I find that I have to "cheat" a little bit to do the LONG outer thigh workout. I normally do NOT have to cheat to do any of my other daily workouts, and I consider myself to be at least at the intermediate level, if not advanced. But then I figure, it's good to push your limits and "no pain, no gain"! So I continue to do this one (once a week, in rotation). I like to do about 40 minutes a day, and I wish this workout were about 5 minutes shorter, but on the whole, I enjoy the challenge.

This is a very good video if you are looking for a high intensity pilates work out. I love the instructor. I have three other Crunch videos that she instucts. I really like her videos.

Easy instructions but too much impact on my knees. Liked the music and the speed.Instructor is engaging.After a while I felt like doing a aerobic exercise but not pilates, too much knee bending going on.

AWESOME video and a really GREAT workout! I really like the way this instructor teaches! This workout has a very nice flow to it and it is a total body workout along with being low impact. I give it 5 stars!
