Cruising (DVD, 2007)

Another Al Pacino movie of the late seventies early eighties, Very strange movie with a nice twist in the end. I did not see that one coming. If you don't like gay men, than don't watch it. There is a lot of them in this movie.
Not as good as the other cop movies he played. If you are an Al Pacino fan it is a must!

Contrary to many's believe, this film higly critized by gay activist and conservative groups when it was released (wao gays and conservatives united!, what a scene!)it was one of Hollywood's first venture of the gay subculture of the seventies and early eighties to mainstream american viewers. It is a fact that this is not Pacino's finest performance, however the film depicts a section and time of our society and the taboos of the time. If at all, this movie, it's producers, and Pacino himself took up a theme not even popular today in mainstream America 25-30 years later.

Youve never seen Mr Pachino in a role like this before. Make sure you watch the special features. It explains that the movie was based on true life events.

If you cant handle homosexuality, dont watch it. But if you can get past all that, this movie was way before its time.

So if you like Al Pachino and big city murder flicks, this is one to watch.
