This is a review of a 2006 UMD. A UMD is not a DVD; it is playable in a PSP player. The brief of the story goes like this:

Kathryn (Sarah Michelle Gellar), a rich Manhattan prep-school student, wagers a dangerous bet with Sebastian (Ryan Phillipe), her step-brother, which he accepts. The essence of their competition is that in order for Sebastian to 'win' he has to have sex with a virgin. Kathryn has reasons why she wants that virgin to be Annette (Reese Witherspoon). Another stipulation of Kathryn & Sebastian's high-stakes bet, it that the seduction of Annette must happen before the new school year starts.

Those high stakes are both materially & sexually based. The least disturbing being the material one. If Sebastion doesn't have sex with Annette, his step-sister will win his Jaguar roadster. If Sebastion deflowers Annette, his prize will be that he will also get to have sex with his step-sister, Kathryn. The incestuousness of the film makes this film more suitable for adults.

Although I don't like the story, the on-screen acting chemistry between Gellar & Phillipe makes for a fascinating film. But due to the amoral content of the story, I can't rate it as excellent. There are far too many films that are much more suitable for a wider audience than this~
