It was great. Certainly not as good as the first but it was good. Some of the stuff could have been left out or changed.

I love the story line of the movie, a tragic death and a supernatural rebirth so the main character can get reveng and finally rest in peace. I only decided to buy it because I had watched the first movie and it was one of the greatest movies I had ever seen and figured it couldn't hurt to see what the second movie was like.

Out of the four Crow films...the first two are the only ones that are worth seeing!!! I love the first two crow films because they maintain the obscure and mysterious effects rather than the, supposedly, updated and poor acting the last two crows had. This is a definate buy!! Get it!!

As good as the original "The Crow" was, it's sequel is as awful! "City of Angels" turns out to be more about the character of Sarah, the little girl from the 1st film, than The Crow wraith. Sarah is all grown up now & has moved on from Detroit to LA to become a tattoo artist. She sports an odd pair of pink angel wing tattoos on her back & tries to help people as best she can. For reasons never explained, she seems to act as an oracle for the crow & helps it resurrect Ashe, a man who was murdered, along with his son, for witnessing a gang killing. Ashe's story line is surprisingly nowhere near as heartwarming as Eric Draven's from the 1st film & he is quite a bit more blood thirsty. The film does follow Ashe's path of vengeance against a group of thugs that appear more ready for the old folks home than killer rampages. It also leads Ashe & Sarah into reclusive drug kingpin Judah Earl's lair of sadomasochistic delights. Earl's hideout is a boiling orgy of skimpy leather clad bodies intertwining. Plenty of leather masks, bare boobs & butts here. For the most part, the plot is very weak & unexplained except for Ashe's story. Along the way, we get to see Ashe exterminate those that wronged him as per the 1st installment. We are treated to the climaxing finale during "The Day of the Dead" celebration. That'd be the Mexican holiday not a George Romero screening! The ending is not terribly satisfying, but what one would expect from this less than adequate sequel!

Believe it or not, this film is even darker than the original as it deals more with drugs & human depravity. Ashe's background is unknown so you don't feel for him as strongly as you did for rocker Eric Draven & his crusading fiance. Even having Ashe's young son killed doesn't warm you to his character. Too many bad things happen to make you feel good about Ashe's final victory & again, it is not a satisfying finale! But, if you're into T&A, this is definitely a movie for you as there is tons of it!

The cast is weak as there are no familiar names or faces as in the 1st. Iggy Pop who plays the gang leader is the only really recognizable name & he looks awful! He looks about 100 years old & weighs about 60lbs. Not a terribly intimidating thug! Vincent Perez is Ashe. He is no Brandon Lee & doesn't bring any of the personality or humor Lee did to the role. Mia Kirshner plays Sarah & almost appears in a trance through most of the film. Richard Brooks is the depraved Judah Earl. I'm sure by now you are saying; "Who?" My point exactly!

This is probably one of the weakest sequels ever made to a blockbuster movie! One has to wonder why they bothered with 3 & 4? My recommendation, don't waste your time!

It was part of a series and could not find it anywhere else. Movie was good, but not as good as the original "The Crow" movie. The accent of the actor, Vincent Perez, is a little distracting. But except for the accent, he could pull of the character, Eric Draven, easily. Interesting how he incorporated magic tricks into his methods. It worked well.

I bought this movie cause I am really into the crow movies I now have every one of the series it is an excellent movie it dives into the same context as the first and goes as deep and dark as I like if you like the Batman series you will really love this movie as well as the rest of the crow series. So if you decide to purchase this movie congatulations and enjoy I know you will.
