Crossroads (1986) by Original Soundtrack (CD, Jun-1988, Warner Bros. Records Record Label)

I saw the movie and loved the music, Ry Cooder specifically. I liked what I heard,but many of the tunes I liked most in the movie were NOT on this CD. From that standpoint, I was dissapointed

I saw a movie on T.V and enjoyed the music so much I decided to search for it on E-Bay and immediatly found it. I ordered it and it was delivered 3 days later. This is what makes shopping E-Bay so much fun.

This is classic blues! I bought the album when the movie came out and wanted the cd for my daughter. The songs are deep southern, gritty, down home, blues. My 20 year old, [who just 'discovered' the blues] absolutely loves it.

It's a good CD, but fans of the movie will get the most enjoyment out of it. The guitar duel climax is sadly absent from this soundtrack, that was a mistake. But, if you listen to the soundtrack one does get some of the bluesy flavor of the film. I own both the movie DVD and the soundtrack CD and they make a nice set.

The CD doesn't include the "showdown" that ends the movie. That's the best music in the show - I was really bummed out!
