i decided to buy this book because i love james patterson:s books. this was one of his best books of all times. i couldnt put it down was a great choice and i would recomend this one to anyone who likes james patterson
I am an avid James Patterson fan. I am collecting the hard cover copies of his many novels. This one, "Cross" is the next in my series. It came in excellent condition from the seller and I am exscited to jump into this novel. If it is anything like the other "Alex Cross" detective series books by Mr. Patterson I won't be able to put it down once I start reading it.
I bought this book because it was time to catch up with James Patterson. As with all his books it was a really fun read. Fast paced, great characters and left me wanting to read more. A treat!
This is classic Patterson / Cross. I very much enjoyed reading "Cross", an easy crisp read that is hard to put down. Writing in the first person, from Alex to the "Butcher", places the reader inside the story and heightens your emotional attachment to the characters. Patterson's style also gives a realistic visualization of events and locales, giving an almost movie-like experience.
I am not sure if you want me to review the actual contents of the book or the reasons that I deceided to purchase it. My thoughts are that while not having read this Patterson book, I have read many other by him and found most to be very entertaining and engrossing. The plot lines are simple and very easy to follow. They are not overly complicated with too many peripheral characters, I don't believe that I have read one of the Lt Cross' series in awhile, and I bid on it because he is an extremely likeable character with a well-honed set of ethics, and the Washington locale is a favorite setting. He is family oriented and believes that his family is paramount....very unlike much of today's societal beliefs.
I really like his books. All of his characters are easy to relate to. I usually read his books in about a day. You can't put them down. I bought this one because I haven't read it yet, but I'm sure he won't let me down...
I noticed the book in our Target store and knew that I could get a better purchase price on ebay. It is a excellent, interesting book. I have never read a James Patterson book before, but I will now on.
great author. i needed this book to finish the series. james patterson is an author i would definately recommend. the price was incredible for a brand new hardcover.
I love James Patterson's books, especially the Detective Cross series. I read it in two days after receiving it, and thoroughly enjoyed this one. Not being able to wait until paperback comes out, and not wanting to pay full price for a new hardback, I have ordered several of newer books this year on Ebay.
I found this book to be one of James Patterson's best in the cross series. It pertains to events happening now plus ties up a lot of past events to make the cross series all come together. If your a big James Patterson or just a reader of thrillers this book is for you.
WEll, I CAN'T SAY I LIKE ANYTHING ABOUT IT, BECAUSE I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED THE BOOK. THE SELLER HAS NEVER SHIPPED THE ITEM AND HAS NEVER RESPONDED TO ANY OF MY EMAILS. I HAVE A CLAIM IS PROCESS WITH THE REVIEW BOARD OF EBAY. I BOUGHT THE BOOK BECAUSE I LIKE JAMES PATTERSON AND HAVE NOT READ THIS PARTICULAR BOOK. OTHER THAN THAT I HAVE NOTHING GOOD TO SAY ABOUT THIS TRANSACTION.
Excellent as per James Pattersons' usual!! Very hard to put down. I received the book and was finished in two days. Can't get enough of his books. I purchased this book on ebay as it was much cheaper than going to the store.
Love this book, one of Patterson's best, keeps you guessing to the end. Alex Cross seems to love trouble. Patterson includes mystery & love in his books.
I decided to buy this book because I like the character, Alex Cross, in James Patterson books. In this book we finally find out how his wife, Maria, was killed. I ties together all the other Alex Cross books.
I know why James Patterson is such a success and so will you when you read Cross, the latest Alex Cross novel. I came late to the series and have struggled to get caught up and I will eventually read the entire backlist. However, whether you're a old Patterson fan or Cross is you're first Patterson book, you're in for a treat.
Suspensful, fast paced, and well crafted with little or no fat between the pages, Cross grabs your attention and holds it for the entire story. While Cross may be a little graphic for some readers, certainly the violence isn't gratuitous but an integral and necessary part of the story. And if you're used to Patterson's stories theres nothing here that will surprise you.
Alex Cross has decided to put down his career and retire to just being a Dad. This decision doesn't last long however when he's asked to help nab Michael Sullivan, one of the worst serial rapists and professional killers to come a long in a while. Playing a game of "red light green light" Sullivan manages to lull his victims into a false sense of security. After he's finished with them all he has to do is show them pictures of some of his victims, a scalpel and that's that; end of discussion.
Cross quickly links his wife's murder 13 years ago to Sullivan.
At 393 pages you should be able to handle this book in a weekend if you haven't any interuptions.
I purchased the book recently to read on my vacation on the beach. It was a fast and easy way to shop without crowds or the traffic. Patterson is a great writer and I have read every book he has written.
This is a super fast read. I'M not completely finished as I only read it on weekend mornings and on my half hlour lunch, started it Sat morning by Sun 11 A.M. had only 200 pages left. It makes you want to keep reading kind of intense. The best in the Alex Cross series.
