    Introduction

    This movie is not about the KKK in Kansas, as is indicated in the description. The movie was filmed in Kansas in 1989; it is a docudrama, based on a true story, of the rise and fall of the KKK in Indiana in the 1920s. The head of the klan was tried and convicted of murder; his appeal to the Indiana Supreme Court was affirmed. The movie was amazingly accurate in its portrayal of the facts as described in detail in the Supreme Court opinion.
