Cross Country by James Patterson (2008, Unabridged, Compact Disc)

I'm a big fan of James Patterson and can't wait for his next book, however I can't afford retail book prices on new releases so I'm a huge fan of E-Bay

I actually bought this for my mother, She LOVES Alex Cross books by James Patterson. I wanted to surprise her, i recently moved away to college to start a new begining...and ive been missing her and she has helped me out, so i thought why not buy her the new book by James Patterson so i did she opened and was SOOOO surprised and she LOVES the book soooo much. Its an audio book, she loves having books read to her and she loves to read them. This book is a must for Alex Cross lovers like herself. This is one of the best so far she said. The reason i bought this is to show my mom even tho im far away im still thinking of her!

So if you know someone who likes Alex Cross books and cant get enough of them, show them you care and buy this for them :) It will be a good surprise.
But watch out most Alex Cross lovers...already read this, my mom wont pay full price for ANYTHING so i knew she didnt have this one :)

I plan to sleep late the next 3 days because I have lost so much sleep reading this novel. I LOVE Alex Cross novels but this one is pure terror! Not only did it keep me up late, it scared the wits out of me...it was really hard to turn it off in my mind. It is hard to be aware of such malice in our world. Yes, it is fiction, but the locale and the historical events are from our front pages, that is, when the media does report it.

Alex investigates the murder scene at the home of a college friend, witnessing the brutality of the murders and odd destruction in the home. He then begins the long trip, literally and figuratively, to find the killers under the lead of "The Tiger". His journey takes him into the desolate refugee camps and hard everyday life of various countries in Africa.

I have recently started listening to Audio books. And just finshed this. I have read ALL the Cross books. Cat and Mouse had always been my fav, with Double Cross next. Well this book has both of them beat. It keep you on your toes through the whole book, wondering what would happen next. The reader does a very good job. I read the book and then listened to the Audio and the Audio was soooo much better. Great Job. Keep them coming James Patterson.

I bought the audiobook version. The narration was riveting. I could not stop listening to the book. I stayed up late into the night listening to it. The story was inventive and gripping. I highly recommend the audiobook version of Cross Country.

The story line was different and very compelling. Could not stop listening. James Patterson is an excellent writer and his characters are memorable.
