Crocheted Socks by Janet Rehfeldt, Mary Jane Wood (2003, Paperback)

I love to crochet and there are not many sock patterns on the market that are very realistic to wear- they are bulky...and even when you use a fingering weight yarn you find that the crochet stitches feel gritty- and the texture is uncomfortable under your feet. This book has a clever cover and it drew me in...Was it possible to find a workable crochet sock pattern? After buying this book and trying a few sock patterns- I just don't think that I would wear any of them because of the texture and comfort of the socks. This one just isn't practical...the patterns are trendy and look to be perfect for teens- I asked some teens if they would wear these and they giggled....sorry. Back to knitting socks until I find the right pattern. It must exist!
