the crimson idol is a concept album done by blackie lawless of w.a.s.p. which this album is a solo project but still he used the w.a.s.p. name it contains great hits like chainsaw charlie and the idol but the album revovles around the story that is in the booklet and it is a great piece of work all around long live the king of mercy

) Blackie really pours out his soul in this one. His Story of Jonathan's rise and fall is the perfect script for a movie, which I actually think there is one, but I don't know for sure. Every single song is awesome and the album gets better with each track. Blackie's vocals are perfect on this album. This album isn't just for WASP fans, anyone who likes Rock or Metal should love this album. It is one of my all time favorites.

They were a band I always liked. I bought it because I had it on cassette but

Wonderful concept album
) This CD is considered by many W.A.S.P. fans to be the ultimate album by Blackie Lawless and W.A.S.P. and I would agree it is one of there best.The concept of this CD follows the story of Jonathan Steel from his troubled childhood to his rise and fall as a rock superstar.This CD has excellent songs like "Arena of Pleasure","Chainsaw Charlie(Murders in the New Morgue)","Doctor Rockter","The Idol",and "Hold on to My Heart".Blackie put his heart and soul into this album. Jonathan still lives.
