Crimson [ECD] by Alkaline Trio (CD, May-2005, Vagrant Records USA)

This CD is a masterpiece from start to finish. Most CDs generally have a weak song or two that just can't keep up with the hits, but with Crimson, every song is a good one. It's full of dark lyrics and themes, but has amazing music that differs a lot on each individual song. Although it's hard to choose because they're all so good, I'd have to say my favorite would be either Time to Waste, Mercy Me, or Sadie. The first two have both had their own music videos, and Time to Waste was actually what inspired me to start listening to Alkaline Trio in the first place. Crimson is a good starting point for new fans, and a must-have for older fans. You can't go wrong with this CD!
