    This is without question the best book on the subject I have ever read. It is both readable, and at the same time, scholarly. All relevant historical data is provided, but there was not a single chapter that I would call dry. I would recommend this book not simply to anyone who would like to learn more about the Federal Reserve and the American banking system, but to everyone. I learned more from this one source than I had in several years of looking elsewhere for the same information.
