I bought it to improve the sound quality of the PC. And it's improved a lot.
I like the Creative brand name which I trust after 20+ years using it.
I do not like the incompatibility with Windows 7, despite the fact that I downloaded the latest driver from their website. I had to reinstall several times before the mother board sees the sound card. Once it is working, I could enjoy the quality of the sound very much so. I got the sound card for cheap on ebay and could not complaint about the quality/price of this sound card.
